For what it describes it dose it very well. It's tall and pretty stable. I wouldn't put expensive camera equipment on it. I am very happy with it for the price but I can't see it really holding up to a lot of abuse. I don't want to say it feels cheap but you can tell it wasn't expensive. Everything works as expected but not any better. I use it to film with my phone in my shop and works exactly as needed but I can see if your traveling with it it may not hold up very well. A good note is it packs small and gets very tall and feels surprisingly stable. The phone holder works, it's nothing exceptional but I don't see a need to get a better one.
