This thing works really well so far. Programing is also pretty easy. Only real challenge was figuring out how high to set the feeding per meal. You have to load it up, set it to some number (start at 10) and have it dole out the food. See if you feel like the amount is right and go from there. That was the only clunky part of the process, but not sure that can be blamed on the design. Not sure how they could do it better.

This product was pretty easy to set up. Almost two basic. If you didn't know how to use the technology, It was mild troubleshooting with the proportion size because they didn't actually tell you how big the size is were and they go up from 0 to 12. For my cats I feed them twice a day and portion size number four was perfect for them with the small pieces of food that I feed them. It does have backup batteries that you can install just in case power was to go out which happened on our trip that we left when we bought these feeders and luckily it stayed powered for the entire 8 hours we were out of electricity. I have one feeder inside and one outside for my outside cats. It's enclosed in a cat house to keep away from the elements.Disclaimer: It does say not to use outside but because I sheltered it it's fine. The only modification we had to use was screwing it into the cat house and taping. The lid shut because of possums and or raccoons that we're trying to get into the food or smarter than the latch mechanism itself, but for just cats in general it stopped them. So if you plan on using this for any outdoor cats that aren't in side just be aware it's easy to knock over.Positive: depending on your portion sides of course we were going a whole week and I filled the cat feeder completely full and I ran it a week prior to leaving. Then we got back a week later and it was still very full and it ran for a good month. So the proportion size was great because you can fill it up and just continue running it so you don't have to worry about ever forgetting feed your pets and you can save money with the correct proportion size. Small compact you can record your voice to have your animal come to you that seem to really work on my youngest cat. Food loves me to death and won't eat when I'm gone so that really help with separation anxiety.Cons: It will still continue to try to dispense food when it's empty so you just have to learn to check it and it gives you the option. I believe to feed up to four times a day and it doesn't really go into detail and instructions, but if you just hit zero it won't dispense any food. It just skips that time frame so you can literally put two spots at zero in your feeding time from like 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. And leave the other one zeros. But you have to go through each set up in order to feed them the amount of times you feed them. Not knowing what the proportion size were were a trouble shoot. I had to set the timer to go off and then reset it all once I figured out how big and small proportions were. Just overall it's a good simple feeder with very basic setup instructions.

This feeder is the first automatic feeder I've ever had, since having cats most of my life. This new kitty is keen on waking me when it was time to feed him and he ate early. This has resolved the wake up call for morning feedings, taken care of lunch feedings when my husband & I are in meetings, and covered dinner if we were out. It's so reliable, the only down side is to check it to make sure it's got food in the hopper. He's left it alone, the latch works well and the food seems to stay fresh. We're happy!

I like that it’s cheap unlike many other feeders, it dose the exact same others would do but less technology. I love the voice message! My cat comes running towards it! It was tricky finding out how to set the feeding times at its military time, which I don’t like at all but once you get the hang you get a great quality function able, like looking, easy, light weight, chargeable and battery operated feeder!

Bought this for my outside cats! Worked great for about a day until the Raccoons found it. Lol. They dragged it halfway across the front yard, broke it open, and feasted on it's goodness. AND SURVIVED! I did my MacGyver thing, built a wooden box around it with a spout for the food and attached it to the outside 4x4 post. It worked awesome. Easy to program for time of day to feed and how much. Stores about 5 pounds of food, which for 3 cats, three times a day, lasts about a week. Great for when I'm traveling or on vacation.

I’ve bought three of these over the last year as I’ve accumulated more cats. These are great products as they’re easy to set up, and very useful. I think they’re worth the price as well as it saves you a lot of time having to feed your cat yourself multiple times every single day. They look nice and modern as well. They’re also probably my cats’ favorite item in our whole entire house. Lol. Additionally, when I had trouble with one of mine, the customer service at Voluas was awesome. We communicated via email and They were very timely, worked with me, and fixed my problem within a day. Thank you very much!

Miracle for me and my cat
I am amazed at how wonderful this feeder is. My cat came from a shelter with some bad habits. Whenever I went into the kitchen she begged for more food and got louder and louder. This feeder has cured the habit of calling for food. When she hears the kibble falling in her bowl she runs to the kitchen. Peace and quiet in the home now. I found the instructions difficult and would suggest you google it first. I followed the recommended amount of kibble on the package to feed my cat. Weighed the 1/2 cup and divided it by 3 as I choose to feed her 3 times a day. Do several quick feeds to see which program delivers the right amount for you. Mine was program 4.
Every cat needs this!
Oh my gosh, it’s not often I find a product that I already know I’ll never be without but this is it! This feeder is the solution to all our overweight cat and feeding problems. She loves it and her constant begging for food when someone is in the kitchen has virtually stopped. Instead she gazes wistfully over at the feeder, awaiting it to do its magic. She’s already losing weight, her daily food allowance is one 2.8oz can of wet first thing in the morning (not in the feeder) and then 5/8th cup of dry kibble (about 9 portions programmed @ 3-2-2-2). My husband can no longer make it a habit to exceed her daily food allowance nor fill a huge bowlful of it when we’re out of the house for a couple hours, in case we’re late coming home.
