1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t waste your money
I don’t normally take the time to review products. However given the price tag, I felt compelled to do so. There is zero plumbing and almost no gloss. It’s very thin and does nothing. I’ll stick with my city lips.
5.0 out of 5 stars Long-lasting color without drying my lips, not sticky
Sometimes, I get items to review that are fine, but not something I'm likely to buy in the future. This is NOT one of them. I really like this gloss and will buy in other colors.Pro - The color does last quite a while Not sticky at application (many glosses seem to be). Gloss seems to "reactivate" somewhat when you wet your lips. Does NOT dry my lips the way other "plumping" products always do (you know the ones!) Feels good to apply; the "tingle" is pleasant. May add some volume. Possibly. There aren't really any "cons." It's being marketed primarily as a plumping and defining product and, while it does have the tingle that indicates it is providing some irritation and thus encouraging blood flow to the lips, there's not a huge difference with it. Since it has the usual foam applicator, outlining is a sort of general process, so not a lot of definition, as you would get with a lip pencil.Great product!
3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't live up to all the hype
Product was just o.k. I found it to be expensive for the little benefits it provided. Also doesn't last long.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great lip plumper.
This does actually works just wish it would last. Very sheer coverage and color is beautiful. Will try a different color soon. Good price if you get the subscribe and save.
2.0 out of 5 stars No visible difference, burns
My lips are already plenty plump, but I really liked the color of this lip sculptor/plumper, and I thought it would hydrate my chapped dry lips. First, the product arrived in excessive packaging, which I personally find wasteful. But at least it was paperboard so I could recycle it.I applied to one half of my lips to see what difference it would make. It went on like lip gloss and my immediate impression was the the color was near transparent, hardly visible at all. You can see from my photos that the color is hard to see on both the back of my hand and on my lips. Then, the burning began. It wasn't painful. But it was a strong "hot" and tingly sensation. I didn't really like it. It's been 35 minutes and it's still tingly. I applied as instructed, waiting and then applying a second coat. I even applied a third coat to see if I could build up the color. You can see from the photos that it was hard to see a difference. Three coats did seem to smooth and even out the color of my lips (you can see on the "naked" side that my lips have red spots from the chapping), but lipstick would have done the same thing in one coat. Further, I didn't see much noticeable shaping or plumping. I'm guessing that whatever ingredient caused the burning sensation was supposed to create inflammation in my lip tissue and plump it up. Perhaps it would still work for someone with very thin or very sensitive lips. But didn't work for me.
1.0 out of 5 stars Double the Plump Lip Gloss
I wish I had ordered a darker color. It did not plump up my lips. Certainly not worth $52. I would have paid maybe $2.50. Definitely not worth the price!
5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting action
I didn't know what to expect from this plumping lip gloss. Immediately upon application you could feel it activate, and I got a tingle factor of 1 or 2. It looked like just a gloss with no color to it. The longer it was on, the tingle factor went up and my lips suddenly had color! I have no idea if the tingle is what gave me the color or if it's some type of chemical reaction. Whatever it is, I like it, and I will keep using it. It does seem to plump up the lips and give them color.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not safe
The box was open and there was no seal on the tube. Friends, i threw it away. It might be a good product but it wasn't safe to use.
