5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Grail of Keyboards
I bought this because it was on sale and at a price that I couldn't pass up even though I could have used a spare keyboard in place for the one that failed. This keyboard is my holy grail keyboard and I simply just wanted a heavier keyboard that I can use to defend my home. Right out of the box the feel and sound was amazing. It's solid and quality, a nice change from even the more expensive keyboards from Razer or Corsair. It's such a pleasure to type on. I have the K10 Pro and K8 Pro, those are good keyboards as well but if you could only get one keyboard I highly recommend the Q6 or at least the Q series.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's nice.
It's a great keyboard, but I just want to say that it doesn't have "shine-through" keys. It says it is backlit, and it is, but the light doesn't shine through the keys. It's not Keychron's fault I didn't research more, but I just thought I'd mention it in case that matters to anyone out there. If it had shine-through keys then all I would buy is this keyboard for the rest of my life lol (I have multiple computers).
5.0 out of 5 stars This might the last keyboard I'll ever buy.
This keyboard isn't "built solid" in a way that you would ever expect a keyboard to be built. It's built more like a tank. You get the impression it's solid steel from top to bottom. It has rubber feet but they're probably more for sound deadening from typing as opposed to keeping it firmly in place on the desk. I nearly need two hands to pick it up.With a detachable USB C wire, hot swap mechanical switches, and the ridiculously good build quality, I don't see myself ever replacing this thing, unless I make it into a retirement home in my 90s and need something lighter I can maneuver with hands missing all their cartilage.I bought replacement side print keycaps at the same time because I didn't like the multitone keys, and wanted something a bit more uniform, but I really should have just waited to try them out first. The keycaps from the factory are of great quality as well.I'm coming from a similarly priced first-generation Corsair K95 with Cherry MX brown switches to the Gateron G Pro brown switches on this Keychron Q6. When the switches are paired with the keyboard build quality, the sound is incredible for someone new-ish to the enthusiast keyboard market. This is one of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made. I cannot recommend it enough.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but not perfect
Key cap font is a little off and there are no raisers, which i expected at the price, but other all its plush and premium and i am happy to have purchased for its on sale price of 180. At 220, i would wait for a sale. That said, i belted out an 80 wpm 100% accuracy on the browns no issue
3.0 out of 5 stars Good keybaord with questionable quality control
Just as the rest of the comments are saying, the keyboard feels premium and solid. However, I don't know if it's just my board specifically, but the stabilizers were extremely rattly. You'd expect paying $200+ for a keyboard, these things would not happen and it would be ready to go straight out of the box. It's left me disappointed over an otherwise great keyboard. Just a heads up if you purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Keyboard for all applications
I’ve owned several high end keyboard and when my last one unexpectedly broke, I thought I’d give this one a try. It sounds and feels amazing and is way better than a couple of other keyboards I’ve own at its price point. I use it for gaming and work. Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Can People Properly Review?
The media could not be loaded. I am currently typing this review with the Q6 Keychron, based off the other reviews there are a lot of unfair reviews. I actually bought this keyboard as my intro to the "keyboard enthusiat" realm or whatever (bunch of snob that have way to much money to spend on keyboards...) not expeting much. To my suprise this was a very high quality product that came in professional packaging, it included all the tools as advertised, make sure you check under the box to find the tools (they need to indicate that better on the packaging....) besides that the keyboard is freaking heavy like I mean god damn. The aluminum body is very durable and the paint is well applied and to my surprise dose not scrap off with accidental scrapes or dinks; I removed the switches to lube the prelubed switches which were actually lubed pretty well. the keycap lettering has survived my sweaty af fingers with occasianal grease and gunk. the lighting is pretty well I wish they were a bit brighter, but for some things in life less is more and I do enjoy the southfacing leds and with a bit of brainpower you can easily flash the keyboard and use a plugin to be able to enjoy signalrgb's lighting effects making it very compatiable with my other rgb lighting. so my overall rating is pretty satisfing the sound, build quality is sound, and the lighting is for sure lighting I give this a 9/10 the price is too damn high still recommend to those with a job....
5.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard!
I have zero complaints about this keyboard. Membrane style keyboards are much lighter than this but I seem to have to buy one every year because certain keys will wear out. However with this mechanical keyboard, the individual key can be replaced. I haven't had a need to yet as this seems more durable all around.I do like the various light patterns that you can do with the keyboard although those are just a bonus for me and not the reason for purchase. I also like having the 4 programmable macro keys.I would not hesitate to buy or recommend this brand of keyboard to others. I don't game with it much to tell a difference in the gaming keysets. I liked this particular keyboard because it also had the integrated number pad.
