5.0 out of 5 stars Yep all day
I have used many products from Dewalt over the years, as far as their power tools go I can say in 25 years i have never seen any of their drills or impacts fail and they have worked in conditions suited for the weekend warrior or hobbiest hot rodder to test thoroughly. From 108 degrees to negative 8 degrees Fahrenheit in dirty shops or outdoors. All of the varies automotive fluids were involved of course. I have wrenched with this on 2 seperate projects so far.So far it has plenty of power, it feels sturdy with plenty of weight to it. The battery is low profile and has plenty of juice and longevity. Dewalts older 20v batterys fit and function just fine although they are a little more bulky. The variable speed trigger is handy for running bolts in swiftly and easing of the trigger to make it snug so it may be torqued later. If i have any compIaints they would be small, probably nit picky in fact. I would say i would like the direction switch to be on the handle so it would be a one handed tool, and the trigger lock to be located so it is less likely to be accidentally engaged in tight spots if your dexterity is a little lacking. Great tool so far and would recommend. Good value tool for the price point if you enjoy building things or doing your own wrenching. I have saved a couple of hours of removing things just on two vehicles do to its ability to fit in tight places and work around things with the proper extensions. If i had one wish, i would like the head to be extendable. I do realize that would present its own engineering challenges but i would gladly pay an additional $50 for an extra 3 inches. 😉
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
I just used it today on replacing the vacuum pump, camshaft sensor and tensioner and belts on my 16 GMC. It worked great and was a big time saver on removing and replacing bolts. I’d highly recommend .
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product for Mechanic
Great product for taking things of heart on engines or any kind of nuts and Bolts Save a lot of time and has 75 pounds of torque Love it
5.0 out of 5 stars Has a lot oF power almost too much
I’ve had this thing a for a couple of months now. Still only have one battery which over all last for a day or 2 of non-stop use and then I’ll throw it on the charger over night before I go home for the day. Compared to my 14.4v snap on 3/8’s this 20v is a beast. In some cases a little too much. So I’ve changed my usage of it for more heavy duty applications like brakes, oil pans, torque converter bolts etc. where my snap on still gets used for interior, spark plugs on V8’s, and things I don’t want to break when taking apart or reassembling. This dewalt atomic 20v brushless is awesome!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive
So far this thing has way outperformed my slap-on electric ratchets and I'm incredibly impressed. It is sturdy, durable, well designed and well built and if it keeps up the good work this could be my favorite tool. I don't expect to have any battery connection problems like I did with snap-on because I've built a rather large collection of DeWalt 20v tools and I haven't had connection problems with any of them. I'm gonna keep using this thing like a mechanic does and pushing it further than it's probably designed for to see what it can handle but I don't forsee any problems because this thing is solid.
4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and powerful but large.
It's a bit to big to fit in a lot of places which is kind of the whole idea of a powered ratchet. The performance is great. Smooth variable speed and good torque.
