5.0 out of 5 stars So fun!
I got this to light bonfires and smoker charcoal. It’s my new fave toy! The spark that lights it is a little unreliable but it eventually gets it going. Easy to use, it gets hot as heck and all your friends will be super jealous that they didn’t think to buy themselves a cool blow torch gun thingy. My family is a little afraid I’m gonna light something on fire that I shouldn’t but it’s way safer to use than you would think. I can’t see myself making any dumb mistakes.Full disclosure: I had issues lighting a bonfire a few weeks back and a friend suggested I get a torch but when he saw what I purchased he said “I didn’t mean a full on GUN, I meant a little hand torch the size of a big lighter! I want one!”
5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job nicely
I like this item. It get the job done quickly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not meant for long time use
I acknowledge that I did not buy this product for it's intended use. However, I didn't expect it to crap out so quickly.Maybe it was user error on my part. I make wood signs and was using it for one of my projects. This was only the third time I'd used it and I noticed the flame getting smaller and smaller. I figured I just needed to refill it. That worked the first time but after that it just went out after a while. I gave it a a bit to let it cool down and refilled the gas again thinking maybe I didn't fill it enough the first time, but it just wouldn't light at all. Probably my fault for using it in a way it wasn't intended for, but I at least would have expected it to last up to 10 uses before it stopped working. Disappointing for sure. Now I'm left with an unfinished project a torch that no longer works, and some butane I no longer have any use for. Definitely don't use this one if you don't plan to use this for food. It's not meant to stay on for long periods of time.
1.0 out of 5 stars Initially it worked great, but...
Worked great for almost a year. Only used it a few times over winter, but loved it for lighting the pellets in the smoker tubes. At about the 1 year mark it suddenly had no pressure behind the flame.I tried a brand new tank and still no pressure.I checked the tube where the gas comes out, appeared clean, even used canned air to try and clear any tiny critter that may have climbed inside.Couldn't get a good flame from it and the thumb wheel to adjust the flame didn't seem to do anything. On my last attempt, while attempting to shut it off, flames came out of areas that should not have a flame.I quickly unscrewed the tank and will no longer be using it.It will be going out on the next trash day!
4.0 out of 5 stars Works like a champ.....so far.
This may be my first review, I'm extremely happy with this product this far (Used twice). I bought this to light my lump coal in my kamado grill/smoker (Big Green Egg) and it gets me going extremely fast. I have always used the Royal Oak tumble weeds (Good product), but this torch gets the lump lit in 30 seconds and temps in my range in 5 minutes or less. The flame output on this torch is phenomenal and I like the adjustability of it. I will definitely recommend to my BBQ buddies. I only gave 4 stars as I need to gage performance and longevity.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift for the man who thinks he has everything
I bought this as a present for myself, actually. A buddy of mine brought one to a camping trip we were on and it worked great both for helping to start the daily camp fire, and starting up a big stack of charcoal briquets without the use of lighter fluid or anything else but a couple of minutes of concentrated flame. All that needs doing is screw on a cheap can of propane that only costs a couple of bucks at the local discount store, and for safety's sake use a long bbq lighter to reach into the nozzle with a lit flame to set it off.But who are we kidding here? Pretending this thing is practical is ridiculous. Its a legal (very short range) flamethrower. And you can say you have a flamethrower (and prove it). And what can be more satisfying to the discerning carnivore than firing up the barbecue with... a flamethrower?Nothing. Thats what. Its a flamethrower so its fun. It works well. Its inexpensive. It doesn't leak, and as long as you use your brain, don't forget the fact this thing is not a toy and much more dangerous than the little disposable lighters you are accustomed to, watch where you point it and above all don't do anything stupid (its a flamethrower) you won't hurt anything or anybody. And you most certainly won't have the same level of concern about your fire or briquets going out. Ever again.
5.0 out of 5 stars More powerful than you think
So happy with this purchase. My dad is so proud of me for finding this gem.
5.0 out of 5 stars Igniter may be a problem.
I loved this thing! A real blow torch! I cook with it. Things like dogs and searing stakes. Lighting solo stove and fire pit. Have not had it long and ignitghter is not working have to use a lighter. Going to try and exchange it.
Great unit!
High quality, super easy to use & fill, easy to control the size of the flame and/but no crazy big flame even when high so easy to hit ur target without over-flaming and risking burning ur work area (Ive had torches that were more like flame throwers & the flame wasnt as controlled even on low). Highly recommend for many applications (baking/painting/cooking).
Funktioniert
Nachfüllen ist einfach und es funktioniert einwandfrei
Ignition failed after second use.
This looks like such a sturdy torch however the ignition failed after its second use. The inner ring for the ignition actually flew off in the middle of soldering.
Very easy to use
Lights first click of the ignitor . works great for lighting candles that are in a glass container. And I am sure if the ignitor on my barbeque should quit it will work great for that
Easy to work!
Great product!
