I have used every brand of makeup wipe and/or micellar water and have NEVER removed all of my mascara without several swipes and a lot of rubbing...even though I don't wear waterproof mascara. Product says don't get in eyes...okay, shut them, use half a pearl size and a bit of water, one swipe of the washcloth and ALL of it is gone. Use a pearl size for rest of the face, again with a bit of water, and skin is clean, soft and moisturized. I have never felt a residue that would call for another cleanser after using this Ceravae It is a small jar, but I know it will last longer than the expensive wipes and micellar that I used twice a day. It does have a very faint, menthol fragrance that is gone as soon as it's washed off. Worth every penny!

I was looking for a more oily makeup remover due to the need to remove waterproof makeup and provide a more moisturizing treatment for my aging skin (46 years young). I used it by rubbing it into my skin, especially around the eye area, and then used a warm microfiber cloth to wipe it off. I should mention that I have very sensitive skin, particularly around the eyes. My skin tolerated this product well, and I did not experience any discomfort or reaction (especially in the eye region).The product works AMAZINGLY; I love how it removes all makeup and moisturizes my skin in the process. However, the smell is a bit off-putting. It has an artificial and chemical scent that I find unpleasant. Despite this, I will continue using it, especially during travel, because it is convenient and I prefer it to makeup-removing towels or tissues. I would recommend it because it works, but if you are sensitive to smells, I would advise caution.

This is amazing. It works so good. I normally wear water proof makeup and a pea size helps take all makeup off. It leaves your skin soft and moisturizing. It cleans well and keeps your appearance looking youthful.
5.0 out of 5 stars removes waterproof mascara (but can leave residue on contacts)
This stuff is great. It has the consistency and meltability of coconut oil. You melt a bit between your fingers and then apply to the face while dry, massage, and then wash away with water. I then follow up with a facial cleanser to get any residue off. It gets off my Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof Mascara mascara off in one go. I barely ever lose any lashes during the removal process because it's so gentle. It also lasts a fairly long time (my last one lasted me about a year).If you use while wearing contacts, a tiny bit will inevitably get on your contact lenses when removing waterproof mascara. This residue stays on your contact lens making your vision a bit blurry. I always remove my contacts before using. You can always get the residue off with contact lens solution if it does happen though, and the product does not sting at all if you get it in your eye. This probably true of most oil based makeup removers though. As long as your contacts come off at night it shouldn't be a problem.

i think it’s pretty good and melts off sunscreen well, however it’s not the best at removing mascara. but i’d say it works well on my sensitive skin because i don’t experience stinging. sometimes it makes my skin feel a little weird after, i’m not sure if it’s breaking me out—there is a chance, but i’d say its cleaning ability is solid, but could do better.

Love this stuff. It works well as a gently makeup remover. I always use this to remove waterproof mascara and other eye makeup. I rub a small amount around my dry eye area for a minute with my fingers and then gently wipe it all off with a tissue. Then I either rinse with water or wash my face with cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser. It's gentle on my skin and so easy to use. I recommend to a lot of my friends and family.

If you wear very heavy makeup on the daily, you'll need a bigger one because it's tiny. I don't wear foundation unless it's for a special occasion but i do wear mascara and eyeshadow. This has lasted me a long time already and I still have plenty left over. Melts away makeup and washes off easily with a cotton pad or washcloth.
