Installation was easy enough.Connection to the app was fast and seamless.Lights are super bright and look classy.Build Quality seems top notch for the price.Time will tell on durability.10/10 recommend.TWO issues I had because I was installing theses in pre-existing 6” cans:1 - The lights are just barely big enough to cover the 6” can hole and you can see the edge of the can. I fixed this with goof rings.2 - The little junction boxes are a bit heavy and you need to figure a way to hold them up inside of a 6” can or the light might not hold steady in the ceiling. If you are cutting a new hole in your ceiling to install these, then this wouldn’t be an issue at all.

The media could not be loaded. I was looking at the local hardware stores for some recessed lighting options, and everything was just so mundane and boring. Then I thought about Govee and all the other Govee LEDs I already had at home and wondered if they had any recessed lighting options, and they sure did. And actually the same or slightly cheaper than the ones at the store. And obviously being Govee, I knew they would have a lot more flexibility and options.The install was easy, they give you everything you need, even push in wire connectors, although I used my own Wago connectors.I bought a 6 + 3/8” recessed lighting hole saw kit for the ceiling, and while it did work, I would say that you should probably just use a 6” one because the one that I used made the holes a bit too big and the Govee lights barely cover the whole thing.Of course the Govee app is great. The brightness is good if you use the illumination mode, and you can choose the Kelvin of the white. Also never had any issues using Google Voice commands with Govee products either.Overall, a great idea for recessed lighting if you’re bored of the same old stuff from your local hardware store.

The light were super easy to install and get connected to the Govee app. They can get pretty bright and do a great job showing the color you actually choose and not a version of it.

I installed these in our living room and wow, what a game changer. We have GOVEE smart lights on the outside of the house and the wife was hesitant to put them inside as well. Well after installing them she has seen light - literally.Interfacing with Alexa is amazing as you set the color temperature and brightness levels from your own couch without the need for the Govee app. The Govee app is nice too. We used it to set up lighting for movie night and used it to make a Halloween light show inside the house for when the trick-or-treaters came to our door.I took off one star because they did not install flat in the sections of our ceiling where there were floor joists. They stuck down about a 1/4" and required some creative wood working to make them fit flush to the ceiling. Other than that, installation was breeze and setting them up couldn't have been easier.

I have Phillips Hue wafer lights downstairs for my TV area and I love them! I wanted something similar for my daughters room for a renovation we did. These fit the budget better and after the install they are great. They have RGB which is addressable to each light individually or as a group. It also has white (natural) light settings ranging from under 2700k to 4000k+ and of course brightness for all lighting. The lights do not seem to put off any heat which is also good because I had a (cheap) pair of Govee light strips which got really hot and made the room noticeably hotter.The only slight complaint I have, is the Govee app isn't the greatest. It works fine, but it is a little clunky to navigate and figure out and not nearly as intuitive as Phillips Hue. However, Govee makes a ton of products that all use the app and this is convenient. For example. I have the lights on there and also a smart water kettle heater and they don't require separate apps to control. We also have a Govee floor lamp which uses the same app.All in all, if you are looking for a good reliable wafer light that has RGB, this is a good product for the price.

I can’t believe we’ve waited six years to install these lights in our home, we have four of them installed and waiting on another box to be delivered. Minus a little bit of a headache with installing them, as comments had mentioned, we absolutely love them. It’s easy to install each light probably takes about 10 minutes, but getting it to clip into the can and stay in place is the tricky point. It is very possible, do not let that hold you back from purchasing these. You will absolutely love them. They’re super easy to program, you can put them all in one group and control them at the same time. There’s different light flows that you can choose from on the app as well.

Works well, bright, use a regular switch
Very easy install if you have basic lighting experience. Colours are bright, lights are adjustable (K) and dimmable. EVERYTHING is done in the app. Dimmer switch on the wall will make these less useful. Use a regular switch.I have these on a dimmer because I thought I could dim them but you can't they, Just flicker and turn off. You need to dim them in the app. Again everything is doen in the app.You can save light settings that you like such as 100% bright at Purple colour or 2 lights on 2 lights off etc.These are bright, we only have 4 pot lights spread out in a 400 sqft area. I thought I would need to do work to add more lights but these 4 x 6inch lights are bright enough for the space. It was surprising!Very happy with the install, I had brackets in the ceiling with a bowl housing for the old light. I was able to pull down the bowl, the bracket would not come out it was installed before the ceiling drywall was on (by the builder) I used a long screwdriver and pressed up on the side of the old bracket until in bent up enough to fit the new lights. Fun lights. Easy to install
These lights work well with the app and were easy to install. We paired it with the Music Sync device and it makes a good lightshow with lots of different effects. Installation took about 5 minutes per as the wires were already there and we just had to cut the hole bigger. Setup after was easy and they stay connected without issue.
Pretty Smart!
I set these up in my music room, with the knowledge of how good my other Govee products are. The physical swap with my original LED flat lights was almost effortless. Ie. pull the old ones (spring loaded clips just like new ones have) out of drywall ceiling (used a slim blade to get a pry started so I could continue with my fingernails, removed house wiring from old control boxes, pulled entire assemblies out (nothing bolted down inside ceiling), installed new control boxes (~5 mins each), plugged new lights into control boxes, installed supplied clips into each light, re-inserted back in ceiling.The rest is easy with the App. Found each light via bluetooth to hook up to my wifi, named each one 1-4 for easy recognition and singular control if wanted, grouped them together as a 4 pack for that room, also grouped my Govee TV backlight in that same room (picture shows an example of them grouped in a monotone red). The App gives you hundreds of colors or "scenes" if you want it to be dynamic, themed, or simply monotone. You can also just turn them on for work lighting along with the typical range of white colors... and they're brighter than my original dumb ones. I have to say I'm impressed with my Govee products and will continue looking at their growing lineup.
Delay on start up
We installed 8 of these lights in our living room when doing a renovation, I like the different color options and shades of white you can choose, but 1 things that does bother me is the delay when turning the lights on. 4 of them with turn on after about 3 seconds, them the other 4 will have an additional delay of about 5 seconds before turning on. It has nothing to do with the sequence of how we wired them up either, not sure why they do that.
Amazing functionality
These were bought as wifi controlled exit lighting. The christmas colours was such a bonus. No more hanging off ladders stringing xmas lights.
