5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and Full of New Technology
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I am going to predict that this is going to be the best retail vacuum that money can buy. We had a Shark for 16 years and its still running. We had to replace the hoses and brushes on the old unit once during that time. When we bought the old unit it replaced our Eureka which was half as powerful as the Shark Navigator we bought. Fast forward to the Powerdetect and once again we are amazed at its abilities. Filtration is great, suction and brush power is fantastic and the addition of led lights and Infared detection of dirt in the carpet is amazing! Not to mention the large volume canister and cord length is a nice improvement from the Navigator. Touch sensors on the handle to change modes manually for the different floor types is really nice too. Users will probably like the sensor that detects when the unit is close to the baseboards and increases the suction power to pull the Debree from the base of the walls. we personally like the fragrance of the deodorizer but we are also concerned its probably artificially made and not healthy. The first time we used it we used the Infared dirt technology and it took some time for us to deep clean the carpet. Hopefully next time wont take as long to clean as we believe it was just 6 years of built up dust, dander, and pet hair missed by the old vacuum. Now the time trial begins. we hope that this unit lasts as long as the previous Shark we owned but we predict that the sensors will be the first part to fail just like they do in vehicles. Time will tell. Only gripe we could really make is that it is heavier than the Navigator and it does want to pull forward when its on but what can you expect when it has to have a larger motor for the awesome suction power. If we can remember to come back and review this in a year we will. Hope this helps someone make a decision. Oh and don't forget to use those holiday gift cards towards your purchase. :-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Professional house cleaning and only vacuum I use!
This is the 5th shark vacuum cleaner I’ve bought. I clean professionally and have given the others to people I’ve worked for when I decide to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Sharks are the very best and I have used many other high end vacuums far more expensive than shark. This last one is heavy, which is the only downside, but not bad enough that it keeps me from buying yet another one. They are easy to use and disassemble when cleaning the vacuum itself. Shark vacuums are powerhouses and tough. I’ve never had one breakdown. But if something breaks, parts can be ordered to replace the piece that breaks. But the key to have a vacuum cleaner to last is in taking care of it like you would your car. Don’t abuse your appliances. Keep them in great condition by cleaning the tank, filters, hoses, and rollers. Take care of your equipment and it’ll take care of you. Mine are used daily, and they have cleaned up some pretty awful stuff. Common sense tells you that you don’t vacuum liquids, feces, or grease. Who would do that anyway? Still, mine get a workout every single day. But, after each use, I clean it. Are there things I’d change on the design? Yes I would. But that goes for every single thing I’ve bought in any appliance, vehicle or home. I depend heavily on the manufacturer of products to provide me with the best possible quality they offer in design and durability. As long as they keep living up to my standards, I’ll keep buying their product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
As you will see in the photos, my little robot vacuum wasn’t cutting it. I have a rabbit and my roommate not only didn’t clean as often as he should’ve in my absence but he also decided to use my living room rug instead of the rug I bought specifically for my rabbit. Therefore, when my rabbit was in molting season the rug got pretty layered. I had a vacuum with a separated canister and it was so annoying to haul two pieces around, plus I feel like it didn’t do as good but with this it’s compact, easy to use, has the power, swivels surprisingly well, and easy to remove and continue vacuuming. The photo is 10minutes of me vacuuming the rug and getting it to look new again. The only downside to this vacuum is there isn’t storage for all the attachments. You can store two on the pegs at the bottom backside of the vacuum but you’re still left with one additional. It’s inconvenient and gives opportunity for loss.
4.0 out of 5 stars the problem is using the attachments ... very awkward!
I've had this vacuum for about 3 months or so.Pros: Cleans well. Good suction for most pet hair. Easy to use, meaning it isn't a struggle to push it over the carpet. Also the power button on the handle is great.Cons: The tube for the attachments looks stretchy but isn't; the vacuum frequently falls over while using them because that tube is just too short. I had to buy extra attachments that were, I think, overpriced, but did work well. Using the wand function, either from the handle or the longer one, is very unwieldy and awkward. Plus you have to unwind the power cord all the way to release the long wand. Really wish there was an automatic cord winder. (I thought it wouldn't matter to me, but it does.) I would have given this product 3.5 stars if I could, it's that irritating to use any attachment.Overall, I would recommend with reservations. Works very well for standard carpet vacuuming, but if you want to use attachments, be prepared for a struggle.

Great vacuum
Great vacuum and picks up a lot of dust my old vacuum didn't. It is a little heavy and maneuvering can be a bit heavy in some cases and there could be a few other attachments that don't come with this but normality come with other vacuums. However the performance of so good that have to give it a 5 star review.
Great value, does the job right
Changed my life when I ordered this vacuum lol. Its a little on the heavy side, but it does an amazing job so its worth it. The maneuverability offsetd any issue the weight might cause. The hand pieces (the pet attatchment is amazing for carpet, couches, dog beds, rugs) and option to remove the 3ft tube or just the handle is a really nice touch. Easy to empty and the cord is super long. Im very impressed and happy I chose this vacuum.
Buena pero un poco cara.
Muy buena pero relación calidad precio un poco cara. La versión shark normal (no apex) hace casi lo mismo
