5.0 out of 5 stars very handy
I am a handyman and use some bits often if not everyday. These bit organizers work really well to keep my most used bits together and were I need them. The holders are plastic barrels with a metal lock sleeve and I have not had any durability problems yet. So for the money, I would say these are worth trying.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well thought out and convenient
I used to dig around in pouches and pockets for various bits, sometimes-- too frequently-- having to climb down from where I was working to get the bit I needed. This device allows me to carry several different bits/drills all in one place, and as I use a belt loop to attach the carabiner style, the pull the collar to release is very convenient. The pull collar is much more convenient than having to push in the collar despite the small risk of catching on something and releasing the bit unexpectedly. Push in collars are the kind used for things like key rings.I'll be getting another one to keep spare bits, you know, for when you drop that particular bit from two stories up...Pros: -- keeps several bits in one place easy to reach -- secure, light weight -- pull collar is both very easy to use and convenient to use -- makes it easy to carry more bits than you think you'll need, because previously you always needed one type you don't have with you -- doesn't tie up space in pouches or pockets. I used to use the small pockets for the bits, but digging out the one at the bottom-- it is always the one at the bottom that is needed right?-- can be fraught when up high on a ladder or scaffold. All those other bits try to fall out while getting to the one on the bottom. Where is the pet monkey when you need him to get that bit 20 feet below.Cons: -- rarely (but possible) to catch the pull collar on something and lose a bit. I can buy a lot of bits by saving a few hours of time over a year even including the initial investment -- if you lose this gadget with all the bits, well, you are going to be hurting. Fortunately the carabiner has a threaded fastener to reduce the odds of this happening when working.
4.0 out of 5 stars Efficient
This item preferably to hold different bits is amazing I use it to hold paddle bits and metal bits and certain specialized bits. They are pretty good especially for being $6 a piece, not too heavy, nothing broke so definitely strong, good locks and strong magnets. Overall 8/10 and will keep on using them in the future.
5.0 out of 5 stars Work great… easy to organize
Makes organizing typically bits that are scattered in a drawer easy. They click in easily and are removed also easily. Well done.
5.0 out of 5 stars A must have
I ordered these for gifts to give to the guys who work for me. I am a foreman for a union plumbing company. I have a few guys that work for me, so I ordered these as a thank you for their hard work. They are not expensive but are very handy. We constantly loose our 1/4" impact bits, these definitely help with that. I originally got 4 for my guys, but the other guys saw them so now I am ordering more. The carabiner seems a little flimsy but it has a way to lock it in the closed position. It can always be replaced with a more sturdy one. The chuck holders are well made, they lock the bit in and have a magnet as well. It fits perfectly on our safety vests. A very handy inexpensive was to hold your bits.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very handy and works well
I got these on a whim and I have to say I really like them. The bit holders work exactly as they should and every one that sees them immediately asks about them and says they want to get a set of their own.The two things I'd have added to the right angle bit would be a little more tension in the twist motion and a magnet in the bit holder. I used it this weekend and the amount of work it saved me was worth the numerous times I had to pick the bit up off the floor and put it back and several of those drops were because the head twisted unexpectedly. Still highly recommend overall.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great innovation
These make life a lot easier when working especially with different screw heads. You clip it to your belt with 6 or 7 different screw bits and can quickly change without having to go back to your tool box. It’s a time saver. Seems to be well made and designed. I would recommend this product especially if you do rehab work and run into different fasteners.
3.0 out of 5 stars Release mechanism
The item is great but if u are having to carry the item w bits, they do tend to come loose and fall without you noticing. To release you need to pull down, maybe it releasing upwards would be best but won't know til I buy one as such.
Work great!
Helps me organize all my bits for easy access. Love it!
Very handy
I've used this daily for a few months now. Still holding up. Saves me having to scrounge around in my pouches for bits ;)
Won’t let you down
I carry a lot of bits and adapter/sockets off of this thing and I’ve never lost one. Once they’re locked in they’ll stay in until you want to swap one out. Very convenient. Don’t normally write reviews but I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s pretty reliable for the price
