I prefer maple sugar to cane sugar because of the mineral content, the taste, and the fact that cane sugar is very inflammatory for me.I carry a small snack bag of this sugar with me so I can use it at restaurants, not just a home.Delicious and nutritious for a sugar. I LOVE THIS!!

I have been using coconut sugar for quite a number of years to reduce effects of sweeteners upon my hyper-cortisol and hypo-adrenal symptoms but when I saw this I was intrigued as to how this would work for my body (since it is both low in the glycemic index as well as the glycemic load) as well as baking, etc. and I am wonderfully surprised as well as satisfied with it and my body's acceptance of it - better than the coconut sugar! It does not make baked goods dry & dense like coconut sugar does. The taste is a very very light maple flavor, gives a subtle richer taste to things. I will definitely be switching to maple sugar!!! The price is a bit hard to swallow but consider it a "necessary bitter pill to swallow" in order to have a better sweetener for my body's sake.
