4.0 out of 5 stars Buy extra bits. The T-10 recess screws strip out easily. Many screws breaks off or round the heads.
A little heavier with a T-20 would help. If you round out but not seated, take & drive in a T-15 bit & back out the screw. Don't try to save it. It sticking up enough, try latching on with a set of vise grips.

I originally purchased this starter clip from Newtechwood as it matched their decking boards. I ran out and tried a TREX starter clip but it did not fit, even though it is advertised as a universal clip. I am now a believer the term universal fit is not what it says and will stick to brand to brand matches. This starter clip is larger and stronger than the TREX model.

The product itself works well enough and significantly less expensive than buy them from the manufacturer. The screws that are provided however are not good at all. They are #1 Phillips head screws which are very easy to bugger up the heads. Fortunately I didn’t need very many of these starter clips; maybe 8 clips and probably 10-12 screws.
