5.0 out of 5 stars Easily Made Festive Cookies!!
I love these!1. Don't expect the healthy ingredients to be exactly the same as you're use to, if you grew up eating the nasty bad ingredients. But instead, embrace the healthy taste.HOLIDAY FESTIVE COOKIES:I melted Lily Chocolate Chips & dipped the cookies half way.As an option, you could sprinkle a tiny pinch of course kosher salt or a pinch of sprinkles for whatever holiday or celebration.Or you could dip 1/2 in Lily Chocolate, let it cool & harden, then dip the other half of the cookie in Lily white chocolate or peanut butter flavored melted chips.I found the quality & flavor to being excellent & very versatile.I also appreciate the fact they don't contain sugar but still taste slightly sweet but not too over bearing. My only issue is, the tin lid doesn't seal like other tins. It just sit on top.
5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable low carb cookies
It is exciting to find a low carb cookie with good flavor! The Speculoos are a great cookie! Yes, the cookies are dry, but not extremely so and this kind of cookie is dry by nature. As for breakage, there were some broken cookies, but they were broken in half and not in crumbs. I have also bought the butter cookie, they too are a good product.
4.0 out of 5 stars Low carb, yes. Sugar free, yes. Low flavor, yes.
While I understand that these are NOT mean to replace a regular Danish cookie (it's not even close) it is seriously lacking in flavor, and due to the alternate recipe, it is NOT low-calorie. It does smell pretty nice, but half of them arrived already broken in half, despite the sealed tin. There are a couple different shapes that are reminiscent of the Danish cookies, but again, only in shape. They all taste the same. Same texture, same crumbliness, it's just a very boring-tasting tin of Danish-looking butter cookies. So why 4 out of 5 stars? I appreciate what they are trying to do within the constraints of what they have to work with. It's really 3.5 rounded up. If you don't have to eat these, don't.
5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular Speculoos
I just received these today and couldn't be happier. For a cookie with no added sugar and no sugar alcohols, these are outstanding. Nice and crispy with a delightful spicy flavor. One pack does have 1 gram of natural sugar, but no added sugars. And one pack contains three cookies. They are sweetened with Monk Fruit, which is acceptable for all restricted diets I have come across so far. Everything I have purchased from Coc Zero so far has been top notch and extremely high quality. I am very impressed with their commitment to producing the best in healthy food products to their package designs.
3.0 out of 5 stars All busted up
I was hoping for a ginger snap kinda thing... Not really. OK cookie but way over priced, especially in the crumby state they ce in.UPDATE:Actually, you know what - very nice cookie, once you get by the, you know, all busted up issue.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for tea or coffee time.
The best for a little snack with some tea or coffee. Some black tea is perfect in my opinion. A great deal for the number of cookies you get. A lovely box replacement for gifting on someone's birthday or a holiday, the perfect size for many gift ideas. I love that they are Keto Friendly.
2.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good, but caveat stomachum (stomach beware)...
Are these as good as Royal Dansk Cookies (the ones in the blue tin that your grandmother used to store sewing materials)? No. But they're pretty darned close. The main drawback is that the texture is slightly dry, so a nice glass of milk may be in order. But they almost fool you into thinking that there is sugar granules on the top just like the real ones (they don't, but the experience is so close, you'll think they do).OK, now here is the bad news. The main reason I purchased this brand as compared to another was the prominent advertisement on the product listing page that they used only Monk Fruit and not sugar alcohols such as erythritol. I am sensitive to sugar alcohols, and they cause serious intestinal distress whenever I consume them. And it's pretty hard to find low-carb products - particularly treats - that don't use them. (As an aside, if you're having similar issues, you should check your sugar alcohol consumption - look for ingredients ending in a "itol" such as sorbitol, maltitol, erythritol, etc. Everyone is sensitive to sugar alcohols to some extent; just some more than others). Any way, I was surprised to experience such distress after consuming four of these cookies. I thought it might be a fluke, and tried again a couple of days later with the same results. After scouring the reviews online, several reviewers noted that they changed their recipe over the past year and they now cause stomach pain. Perhaps they changed the Monk Fruit extract they use, and now use a brand that cuts it with erythritol as many do?In short, if you are wholly unphased by sugar alcohols, I highly recommend these cookies. If that's not the case, as they would say in Latin, caveat stomachum (stomach beware). Needless to say, I personally will unfortunately need to avoid them in the future.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good cookies but always broken!
These are delicious cookies and perfect for keto, but they always arrive and most of them are broken.
