It's been 5 months of daily use and counting and it works perfectly!####After our double-oven stove with induction cooktop died, we examined our needs before rushing out to buy another one.I cook mostly one pan meals. Our breakfast buckwheat is cooked in a small Indian stainless steel pressure cooker. And we do some microwaved steaming. My wife bakes a loaf of gluten free bread about every four days. So, do we really need a stove? No. We got an oversized basic toaster oven for baking bread.I decided to buy this commercial grade, restaurant certified portable 110v induction cooktop.ChangBERT is a pro cooktop. While 110v, it is not to be confused with consumer models that one finds for $49.First, the control are straightforward: Timer, Temperature, and Heat/Wattage. It does not have the useless icons for steaming, frying, etc. found on many amateur machines. It also has an oversized fan in the base to protect the electronics from heat caused by constant use in a restaurant. The unit defaults to 800 watts when turned on, but goes up to 1800 and down to 200. I just cooked jasmine rice effortlessly in a small pressure cooker by starting a 250 degrees and dropping it down to 120 for a total of 15 minutes. I've quickly learned to use temperature over wattage, but others like to work the other way.Another very important feature is that the buttons to control the unit are separate from the cooking area! Our stove had touch sensitive controls built in to the glass cook-top with virtual "sliders" to adjust with you finger. Bad idea. The minute you lifted a lid and condensation dripped on the glass, the touch controls went berserk. You had to have paper towel nearby at all times. The ChangBERT is a much more professional system, with larger text and positive, reliable buttons for far less trouble. With high-quality stainless stainless steel trim, wide stable base, and simple easy to use controls, this is perfect for daily use, travel to the family cabin, or those who are tired of expensive appliances that only last four years.
5.0 out of 5 stars Extra cooktop
I recently purchased the Changbert Induction Cooktop, and it has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. This cooktop provides an extra cooking surface, which has proven invaluable during big cooking events and gatherings. I love how it heats up quickly and evenly, making cooking more efficient and enjoyable. The temperature control is precise, allowing me to cook a variety of dishes with perfect results every time. One of the best features is its portability. I can easily move it around the kitchen or even take it to events outside my home. It's incredibly easy to clean, and its sleek design fits perfectly with my kitchen decor. Surprisingly, I find myself preferring it over my regular stove because of its convenience and performance.Overall, the Changbert Induction Cooktop has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extra cooktop for their cooking needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Feel very durable, sturdy, and long-lasting.
I have been using this literally daily for 2 months now since end Nov.It is compact and lightweight, yet sturdy and durable enough for any pot you want to put on it in my home.I was able to leave it on the 1800w setting for the duration of the boil with Cuisinart 12 qt stockpot. After a few dozen uses for searing steaks & stirring fry outside, it does not suddenly stop and get hot enough when compared my last cheaper induction. It performed beautifully and flawlessly the whole process. That being said, the built-in temperature control is not good. I get around this by using an external thermometer and manually adjusting the power settings. This is totally fine, because I have a sous-vide machine for things require fully automatic temp control with 100% accuracy. However, if temp accuracy is important to you and you don't have the time to manually dial-in the power settings, induction cooktop is not your best choose. But if you take some time getting used to your specific pans to know exactly which setting to use for what circumstances with this thing is quiet calls very quickly cleans very easy. Now, I LOVE to use this thing to slow cook my spaghetti sauce for hours without worrying about burning searing steaks without having to use alternate methods to test the temperature. I hope it lasts forever. If not, I'm buying a new one.
4.0 out of 5 stars Needs more temperature settings.
The temperature control settings spacing is too far apart. It's probably not the best choice for a home kitchen. I like the size, large sauce pans fit. Easy to clean. Fans are noisy so the electronics should never burn out. It's smart, proper material pan must be present before it will work. Still hot safety indicator.
This one is for me, maybe for you too!
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() As someone who cooks every day, this induction cooktop has been a total game-changer. It heats up super fast, which saves me so much time, and the range of heat settings is fantastic. Whether I’m gently simmering a delicate sauce or cranking up the heat for a stir-fry, the precise controls make it effortless to get the perfect temperature.Cleanup is a breeze because of the aluminum and glass finish---simple and clean. I also love how portable and lightweight it is---a lifesaver if you have small kitchens, or live alone. The energy efficiency is a bonus I wasn’t expecting, but it’s definitely noticeable. For anyone who loves to cook or just needs a versatile, reliable cooktop, this is a must-have. Highly recommend for everyone!
Perfect for a culinary enthusiast
I’ve been using this induction cooktop for a while now, and it’s been a steady performer. As someone who loves cooking for others, I appreciate how quickly it heats up and maintains a consistent temperature. I've used it to make curries, stews, stir fry, and demo recipes I learned from my culinary arts courses to my friends and family — perks of having something high performing and portable! It’s easy to clean and feels built to last, making it a reliable addition to my kitchen.
A cost-effective induction cooker
This induction cooker really exceeded my expectations! The heating speed is very fast, the firepower is uniform, and the temperature can be easily adjusted, which is very suitable for various cooking needs. Whether it's cooking soup, stir frying, or grilling, it performs excellently, with simple operation and clear and easy to understand panels, making it particularly convenient for family members to use. The body design is stylish and atmospheric, taking up little space, and cleaning is particularly worry free. Great value for money, recommended to anyone who loves cooking!
Worth the Buy
This is by far the best induction cooktop I’ve owned! It’s compact, well-made, and super easy to use. The controls are responsive buttons that work much better than the often-frustrating touch controls on some other cooktops. It heats up quickly with low noise, and it can maintain top heat level for a long period, making it perfect for hotpot. Highly recommend!
