First off, my son was absolutely ecstatic to open this gift on Christmas morning. However, he insisted on me assembling it right away instead of him opening the rest of his gifts. So you might want to consider whether you prefer to gift this in the box or already assembled. That said, although it took some time to assemble, the instructions were clear and all the pieces are labeled.As mentioned by other reviewers, all hot wheels cars do NOT stay on this track. My son was very disappointed but we made a game out of testing all his cars and found ONE that worked, although not as well as the one that comes with the track.I also disliked the force that was required to get the car to race on the track. You literally have to slam the trigger. Initially I was worried that he would eventually break it. However, I will say that after a few weeks of use, you do not have to slam it as hard for it to work and it hasn't broken yet. Initially, I would have given this 3 stars but it managed to redeem itself over time.TIP: we've since dug through a bin of hotwheels cars in the store and the "HW Track Champs" cars seem to be perfect for this. Specifically, we bought Rollin' Solo 5/5.

We couldn't get the cars to do the track as is, we had to use stairs or some type of gravity to help. The launching mechanism is just force it's not mechanical like we thought. Still works but not as pictured.

If you are looking for a value hot wheels track, this is the one for you! Hot wheels tracks can get very expensive, but this one is great if you are looking to keep the cost down. I purchased for my nephew who already has a ton of hot wheels, cars, and things, so I think this will be a nice addition to his existing set.

Christmas hit for my son. Easy set up. Loves trying different cars to see which ones will land in the bucket. He's played with it for hours and definitely enjoys it.

Easy To Set Up & Tons Of Fun!
First, we love that we don't need batteries. It's pretty simple to set up, not quite 'little kid level' but simple enough for mom and dad. It's pretty noisy since you need to slam your hand down on the ejection slammer thingy, but it's tons of fun for the kids. Not all HotWheels cars will work (some are too wide, others are too tall) but it still works with a majority of what the kids have.

Die Bahn ist viel im Einsatz und überraschend stabil. Auch Erwachsene geben sich die Challenge mit den fliegenden Autos und hauen sicher stärker drauf als die Kinder. Das hält sie bislang unverwüstlich aus. Manchmal gehen die Schienen an der Steckverbindung auseinander, ist aber schnell wieder gerichtet und weiter geht's. Man kann zwei Strecken einstellen und es macht auch Spaß, die diversen HotWheels Autos gegeneinander zu testen.
