5.0 out of 5 stars I Was Very Surprised
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from my first order of HERO Bread. Anyone that’s tried to find “healthy” bread knows the disappointment of biting into what tastes like cardboard infused planks shaped like bread that you have to toast just to make it tolerable.I have to say HERO Bread is awesome! Great taste! Great texture! Full size loaves instead of the mini versions you often find in grocery stores. My order (2 loaves) took a few days to be delivered, but worth the wait. I’ll be adding HERO Bread to my subscription list.
5.0 out of 5 stars SOOOO GOOD!
Perfect White Bread! You can't tell the difference between it and regular bread. Great for PB&J, grilled cheese, club sandwiches, tuna. Toasts perfectly! I even carry slices to the local diner and they make my turkey club for me with it. Tastes perfect!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent bread
The white bread is excellent and fresh. I just hate Fed Ex. UPS is much more efficient.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good enough
It definitely doesn't taste like real white bread, but if you need a lo carb bread, it tastes good enough to make a sandwich and it does have the consistency of white bread. Unfortunately, like everything for special diets, it's expensive.
3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work for My Keto Diet
Overall, this Hero Bread has a "blah" flavor but I was (initially) thrilled to find a bread with zero net carbs. After a couple of weeks of using this bread (1 or 2 slices per day) my keto diet stalled and I gained back some weight. Not 100% certain that this bread was the cause, but this was my only notable diet change during this period.Of course, some weight fluctuations on the keto diet (or, any diet) are common, and I have read that "resistant starches" are an excellent option when one does crave a sandwich. I sincerely appreciate that this type of low net carb product is available to consumers. However, I was concerned after reading other reviews on this product talking about spikes in blood sugar levels after eating this bread (and other reviewers also commenting on weight loss problems when introducing this bread into their keto diet).Unfortunately, I will take a pass on this bread but I might consider another purchase in the future (from time to time) when I do have that sandwich craving. (I assume that the manufacturer is being completely honest about the ingredients and nutritional information, so I don't really have an adequate explanation about my experience).
5.0 out of 5 stars Soft, healthy, white bread.
We just can't understand how this is so fresh and wonderful! It is pricey, but we love it and are working so hard to eat healthier at our age.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best I've tried in a while!
Very tasty! Toasted up nicely too. Most folks couldn't tell that it wasn't traditional bread...
1.0 out of 5 stars Do not fall in this "health trap"
My first package never arrived and I demanded full refund (the seller reacted only after the Bolo Customer service got in touch with them). However, I made a mistake and ordered "this" again and it came on a second attempt. My short review:1) The bread didn't taste fresh and it is tasteless, which means "untasty"2) Their claim on "o net carbs" is totally speculative. If you double check a few medical articles, you will quickly find that FDA (for non-Americans: "Food and Drug Administration") requires stating simple facts and that means 11 carbs per 1 bread slice in the box of "Nutrition facts".PLEASE, NOTE THAT "Any information or claims about carbohydrate content that appear outside that box have not been evaluated by the FDA."As I found out, this is another marketing trick to make people with health issues eat white bread and pay extremely high prices for it. THERE ARE NO MEDICAL EVIDENCE THAT "NET CARBS" means anything except for the claim of the company that tries to sell it as "supposedly healthy products"For those sensitive to carbs and sugar: DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP and try to focus on real healthy lifestyle and healthy food. Eating WHITE BREAD is NOT HEALTHY.This is the worst food product I've bought until now on Bolo and I'm frustrated to see that they allow even selling it.I consider to file a complaint with the FDA.
