Every time I attempt to use this I am so disappointed and frustrated due to the fact that you rarely get a paper towel without it getting hung up and ripping into pieces that fall on the floor, get hung up in the dispenser or drop into the sink below. I have attempted to use a fingernail file to smooth out the rough edges where the metal folds over, but that did not seem to be the full reason for this item not performing it's one duty. The other reason may be that the length of the opening measures smaller than some of the others that I have purchased in the past, so that may be an additional cause. I jumped online to see if I have the wrong size paper towels but there is not a description or specifications. Most likely this will be going in the trash soon, it is not worth the trouble it is causing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Keys to the box may be the wrong key
I bought 3 of the dispensers, I sent one back because of the wrong key. Then I found of the three another one had a wrong key, but I had a set of keys that worked so I did not send that one back. The one that I sent back for a replacement had the correct key. Total 4 units and just 2 sets of keys worked.

This is a stainless steel paper towel dispenser that is wall-mounted is of a beautiful standard, good quality material however, it isn’t terribly sturdy. While mounting the paper towel dispenser was fairly easy with the four different mounting holes and the included screws one thing I noticed is that even when mounted you can shift the front face of it quite easily. And it just seems a little bit unsteady. Even though it’s secured to the wall.One thing that I didn’t like is that it opens very easily with a small turn of the key. If this were in a public area I would be very concerned that somebody can easily open it. I have it inside of my food trailer for the employee handwashing sink so I don’t really need it to be locked, so I wanted to leave the key in it, and noticed that if I leave the key in it it wants to fall open. So I had to mount the key next to it so it doesn’t get lost.Overall it is a good value for money, very easy to install however they could improve on the sturdiness of it.

Product looks nice(one star). The key did not work in the lock. Did a work around. Paper towels rip with almost every pull. Users brought over a paper towel roll to use instead. Had it not already been put up, we would have returned, but now stuck with a nice looking poorly designed dispenser. We might replace with another that we've had for over 60 years (still working in another room). Sad and disappointing purchase.

I got this for its intended purpose, and it does that very well. I have only tried dispensing the bulk paper towels from Sams and it dispenses them perfectly. Only one towel comes out at a time and there is enough room in the opening to grab the first towel to start them, and the last towel to finish without having to fidget with it. The Stainless finish has a nice even grain to it and seems to be pretty fingerprint resistant as well, which is a plus. The included mounting hardware works well, however if you intend to install this is in a location where theft or vandalism is an issue you may want to utilize some fender washers, or larger screws so that the dispenser can't be slid up or pried off of the wall. This is due to the fact that the included screws are a flat countersunk style which does not give the screw much surface area to resist the box being pried from the wall, or resist being slid up to the larger part of the mounting holes.
