I felt a little awkward about taking the test at first, but I’m glad I did. It was quick and painless and I got my results in two weeks. I made some of the adjustments suggested by Viome and noticed an improvement in my energy and quality of sleep almost immediately and the pestering bloat started to go away. It may seem a little pricey, but I feel like it was money well spent.

This home test is incredibly helpful! After a very simple process of collecting blood, saliva and stool samples, you send in the tests and within less than 2 weeks, I had my personalized results of what specific things I needed to focus on. Not only does it provide super foods that would be best for my body, but it also lists the foods to avoid and why. Along with that, Viome is able to create supplements that specifically target the areas that I need to focus on. The app is also very easy to use and refer back to. Highly recommend anyone looking to improve and understand more about their own gut health.

I wanted to order the complete package (stool, blood and saliva), and I'm very happy with this product. It was easy to collect and send in the samples and didn't take a lot of my time to do so. I love how the results are displayed in the app. It's very easy to follow the recommendations. I now know which foods to eat and which to avoid and the app explains how different foods affect the body.

do NOT purchase if you are looking for a food allergy or sensitivity test. I wouldn't trust the gut test results either since they do not show details. Results are bogus & seem to be very generic info.Example, I'm allergic to cashews - results say: Cashews are an excellent source of copper, which serves many functions including maintaining the nervous system and the immune system. Why you should Enjoy: Good blood sugar response. Where is the sensitivity scale?? Results say either enjoy, minimize or avoid & THAT'S IT!!!! Results for cheese which bloats me: There are many types of cheese made from cow’s milk. Most are good sources of protein and calcium, which support strong bones and teeth. Why you should Enjoy: Good blood sugar response.I could go on..... If I could send back the test I would. STAY CLEAR OF VIOME. After researching I found, there aren't any peer reviews!
3.0 out of 5 stars I didn't like it - non-standard test results I don't find meaningful
I did the tests same day, 3 separate analysis. Not all said supplies to take the test were included, found a couple missing, which had to be a manufacturing defect as the test comes sealed in plastic.Then when my results were ready, I found no normal results, but instead some kind of mysterious scoring system based on some kind of mysterious measure on secret items tested from my samples, summarized in a total percentage of 5 categories they invented - no details what adds up to those percentages like I would get in a cholesterol hearth health test where I am shown the different levels and what percentages they fall in. Nope, not in this test, only some percentage not detailed what test results lead to those overall percentages, so it makes no sense and reveals nothing. How does that tell me anything, but only leave me in the dark?If normal labs find it standard to provide complete breakdown of whatever test was ordered and the full results directly to consumers, what, then, is Viome's problem doing that? People today are given full access to their own complete lab results through major laboratories so that Viome doesn't provide the same, but some mysterious single percentage number to me is not acceptable. For blood samples sent in wasn't given normal lab results of the test done, with the level or numbers, but instead a single percentage said to be Cellular Results! What ever is that? Not a normal lab result as other reviewers were complaining, something that meant nothing to their doctors and I know my own doctor would find worthless.They also don't let me print anything out that is for me, including lists of foods to get or avoid, and hide the reasons of good and bad for each needing me to click a pop up for each one, a waste of time.This test I see just turned out to be a pitch for needing to get each month expensive supplements from them that I can't justify as a toothpaste gel containing xylitol, stevia, and xantham gum that is more than 7 full size tubes of Crest toothpaste in expense, and contains nothing to prevent cavities and as well is said to only last a month, needing to purchase repeatedly each month.As this Viome test stands right now, the results I get I feel are no more informative than what I might get from a carnival health kiosk machine for a few bucks placing my palm on its digital reader for such a generic results of 5 categories with just percentages and a list of foods and an option to order on the spot their supplements lined up like soda bottles for another press of buttons.If I don't see any real test results, just giving me a list of percentages per a major health category seems nothing more than an arcade health machine giving me back generics that could apply to anyone, and not results I would share with my doctor, unless I want him to shake his head why I fell for such a carnival diagnosis, and then him offering to give me real profile tests that show real state of my complete body health, with real recommendations.
