I needed a small knife dedicated to spreading soft-ish butter kept in my butter bell. These are perfect, and their small size lets me balance one on the top of the bell so its always ready for use.The stainless construction has held up after repeated washings, so there don't appear to be any concerns on that front.One unexpected feature I didn't notice in the product description: One edge is sharpened, and quite sharp. The rounded end is dull like you'd expect with a butter knife, but if you want to lay these knives out with a cheese platter, the very sharp edge will easily cut thru small cheese squares. Or any food item, really. The only limiter is the small handle and blade so it has limited leverage. But it is a nice added feature.

These cheese spreaders are of nice quality and they also work well for serving individual slices of cheese from cheese trays (from Costco or BJ’s, for example). They are easy to clean, too, as they are dishwasher safe. We recommend this set of butter knives/cheese spreaders.

Love everything about them, unfortunately, I noticed that the rust when places in the dishwasher. I now wash by hand to preserve and avoid rust.
