My six year old and I have had a lot of fun doing these experiments. This is a great kit to have for those rainy days or the dreadful “I’m bored” days. I recommend it if your kid likes science. Although you can tell they were translated, the instructions are still easy to follow.Great value for your money and even greater value if you want your kid to do something other than watch tv or be glued to an electronic devise.Excellent quality time to spend with your kiddo as well.

This set has a lot of activities for kids to do. Most things are included. Most of the activities need water, but regular sink water is fine. Other materials that the experiments need are vegetable oil, vinegar, paper towels or paper plates. There’s a few that require something a little more planning like milk or a piece of fruit, but those are few and far between. We’ve grown crystals, made bouncy balls, set off two different kinds of volcanoes, lots of really cool things. Keeps kids entertained for fairly long periods of time. The explanations of scientific concepts could be better and more kid friendly, but that doesn’t take away from the fun aspect. Directions are easy to follow, but younger children may need help.

I have a 4yr that is does not like schooling so much and can be hard to get her interested, with that said she loves "playing scientist." This product it fun for the kids and easy to use . The product comes with almost everything you need minus a few household items for only maye one or two of the experiments. I would recommend this product for parents trying to get their children interested in schooling.

Purchased for my seven year old son. Ok purchased for me as well. For the price and what you get best deal out there in my opinion. We have done several experiments together with this and seeing a kids eyes light up while learning and playing is "worth its weight in gold" Great for the whole family can be a little messy on a few of the experiments but messy is always fun when you have a seven year old. You get so much for so little, get this and enjoy the " happy messes" together.

I was on the fence as to what type of science kit would be best for my 13 yr old daughter who has difficulty with learning, but after alot of consideration I decided to try this. Worst case scenario, I would have to sit and force her to spend time learning and doing experiments that might be too young for her. Was I wrong! She absolutely LOVES this kit and has been enjoying doing the experiments, then asks appropriate questions which lead us to read about the experiments we have done. Not struggling with her to learn over summer break and creating quality time together is a win-win.This kit has the supplies needed compared to other kits that would require me to go shopping and the necessary items are easy to replace if you should run out of them doing the experiments. This is the most enthusiastic I have seen her in doing home learning as she is more of a visual learner than a self-study through reading. I will be definitely looking for more of these type kits and purchasing this kit for her friends as gifts per my daughter's request.The only reason for the 4 star gift option is because depending on who you gift it to, it may be too easy/young of a gift.Yes, highly recommended!
