Just got it today. My first impressions are very positive. Both grinders worked. They each require 4, easily replaceable, AAA batteries and are wonderfully easy to load with peppercorns or salt. They can grind fine as shown in my photo. The adjustable dial isn't meant to just click to a setting. You need to spin it clockwise or counterclockwise multiple times in either direction like tightening a screw. For the finest grind this needs to be done before loading so that nothing is restricting the core, then twist clockwise until the dial will no longer turn. A very consistent and relatively fine grind in my opinion. I had an electric grinder previously that was considerably worse. I have no complaints but will update in the future if things change.

This used 4 batteries AAA not too happy about that. easy to use but the pieces are kind of big when they come out the grinder

This electric salt and pepper grinder has it’s pros and cons. Pros: i love that the size is a bit smaller, it’s lighter and easy to clean. It’s battery operated so I don’t have to injured my wrist trying to twist like the manual one, which was what we had prior to this. Cons: i had a hard time figuring out how to adjust the coarseness of this. What we did is not too fill it up too much to give it space inside the grinder to allow space for adjustment. We turned it upside down, give it a good shake and make sure no peppercorn is stuck on the grinder before we adjust it. With salt we don’t have a problem because we always use the same size but with peppercorn, it gets tricky so play with it. Once you figured it out, it’s easy to use it. I forgot to mention that it also has a light so you can see how much you’re putting in there. Over all pleased with this one.

These are nice automatic grinders without question. Definitely I'm happy that it has ceramic grinders. My last set was made out of plastic and everybody knows plastic breaks down easily over time.. It's easy to fill them up with the large cap / window on the front.As I mentioned in the title though, the LED on this thing is kind of junk, but don't let that deter you because most of these electric grinders have the exact same bogus LED design. The price is reasonable for what you're getting. Not sure how long the batteries last but I imagine it's not terrible life considering how infrequent they are used. With everything you get what you pay for, so I'm sure that plays into the type of LED used but this is definitely a quality grinder set and functions Exactly as described. Certainly something that will be used often but I have not had it long enough to speak on the longevity of it, either way If I get a year's use worth out of it it definitely was worth the cost to replace the set. I have not had any issues with it to present date and I'm happy with the product. It's a good item to give as a gift especially with somebody that has arthritis in their wrist. The motor has plenty of torque to grind through pepper kernels. You almost have to set the salt to very fine because a lot comes out at once. I have to pulse it in order to avoid over salting my food. It earned the five stars I am giving it. Not to mention the little Spade shovel spoons that came with it are kind of cool and I am actually using those for filling garden soil plugs even though that's not what they were designed for...lol
