5.0 out of 5 stars Strange texture, but worked well
I got this for my 9 year old in hopes of helping her dandruff. I’d tried the T Gel shampoo, and the Head & Shoulders products, but still seemed to have never ending flakes. So, I purchased this product along with their shampoo. I was expecting something similar to conditioner or a cream to soak in to the scalp, but it was grainy, similar in texture to an exfoliating face scrub. You apply it to dry hair, so I really had to use a lot to cover her scalp since it doesn’t really “spread around”, it’s a little sandy and a bit dry. Once I got her head covered as well as I could, I spritzed a little water on it and sort of rubbed it in and that help a lot. After leaving it on for the suggested time, we washed with their shampoo. She has long thick hair, and it was a bit of a challenge to get the grainy feeling out. Combing through the hair with conditioner in it did the trick. After her hair was dry, I checked and it was completely free of dandruff, even after scratching the scalp. So, it is a bit labor intensive for long or thick hair, but it does indeed work. I do suggest adding a little water to the scalp after it’s on to help massage it in.

El pomo venía sellado pero no está lleno completamente del producto, no raspa y limpia bien el cuero cabelludo
3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to apply with long hair
I suffer from aggressive dandruff, and literally nothing works except for the medicated Nizoral shampoo. I wish I was joking. If I go for a short period of time without using the shampoo, my scalp essentially crusts over immediately. It's gnarly. So I figured, why not try this stuff for the aggressive points between buying the shampoo to remove the gunk? I read the instructions and it says to massage it into my dry scalp before a wash. So I treated it like shampoo by rubbing it between my hands first, and rubbing my scalp... But umm... I have really thick, long hair. By the time my hands reach my scalp on certain areas, the product rubs off into my hair, never reaching my scalp. So I use more... And more... And more before I throw my hands up and call it quits. It's easily applied in some areas, but not all the areas.Maybe it's more helpful with shorter hair with easier access to the scalp? I really don't know. I didn't see a difference. The shampoo, however, is a Godsend
4.0 out of 5 stars Such a strange texture
When I first went to use this the texture was so weird and surprising that I thought it had spoiled somehow. It's kinda grainy but kind of looks like really small curd cottage cheese. I don't know.Anyway, the stuff has no scent and is kind of on the dry side, so I had to spread it on in areas then get my hands wet to rub it in. It seemed to work pretty good after that. It doesn't absorb in or anything so I left it on for a couple minutes then took a shower.I didn't have any issues washing it out with the Nizoral shampoo. My hair is mid back in length so I felt like I maybe used a bit more than someone with really short hair would've had to use.A couple minutes after I had it in I could tell my scalp was getting kinda tingly, but not in a bad way. Just in an awareness way.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cured my dandruff
I don’t usually write reviews but this is out of empathy for all the other folks out there struggling with flakes. I have dealt with it since I was a kid and these Nizoral products are the only ones that have ever accomplished what they claim to. I used the following 3 products:1. Prescalp treatmentNizoral Pre-Shampoo Scalp... https://www.Bolo.com/dp/B0B8T4R6V2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share2. ShampooNizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo... https://www.Bolo.com/dp/B00AINMFAC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share3. Scalp brushecoed Scalp Massager Shampoo... https://www.Bolo.com/dp/B0BQ6SWP4D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareI used all these together then I got out of the shower and dried my hair. After one use my dandruff was cured. When I say cured I mean CURED. Like 100% effective. I wore a black t shirt to test it out. No flakes. I even used these products on my beard and my beard dandruff was gone. I have continued to use these as directed (once a week for the pre-shampoo, 4 times a week for the shampoo) and I make sure to get a good scrub with both using the brush. I don’t know if any one of these single items alone would do the trick but all together they are a triple whammy. I am leaving this same review on each of the products so hopefully whoever reads this review can replicate my success.
1.0 out of 5 stars Shrinkflation and difficult consistency
The package is half empty when you open it (skip straight to the end-of-product stage where you have to shake vigorously to get any out). Since the instructions say to apply on dry hair, I was expecting a more liquid consistency that can actually get through to the scalp. But it's extremely thick and sandy, with plastic-like white chunks that took multiple washings to remove. I have very thick (dense) hair and live in a dry environment, so was hoping this could help with maintaining a healthy scalp... But I deeply hate it.
