I've never taken Sam-E before & only been on this product for about 4-5 days, so probably too soon to expect any results yet. The tablets are coated and round. The coating makes it so there's no yucky "tablet taste" & also because it's better absorption but I find round pills slightly harder to swallow. Most days I did ok getting my 2 tablets down, however today it took me 3 swallows before I could get one pill down.I've had a bit more energy & one of the days I was a bit hyper (another reviewer mentioned that this could be because of too much SAM-e) however there's no way to know at this point if this can be attributed to this product or if I just happened to have more energy (only time will tell. If my energy keeps up for the long term then it's definitely the product).It did seem a bit pricey at first but after doing some research, it seems that SAM-e just costs more in general. I did find another product where you have to pay more for the bottle but you get 60 servings instead of just 15 servings. So if I decide that SAM-e is improving my life, I may try that one, but wanted to start with this one which is cheaper for the bottle, in case i had a bad reaction to the SAM-e or saw no improvements at all.Love the small bottle size (seriously, why can't more supplements come in smaller bottles?) & that it comes in a glass bottle.SAM-e is supposed to help with a lot of stuff like mood, energy, pain, hot flashes, menopause.Just an FYI that these are recommended to take on an empty stomach.

This supplement is contraindicated for certain consumers with particular conditions listed on SAMe description webpages. It's important to be aware of this information prior to taking the supplement. I'm trying out this SAMe for my mom, who has arthritis and would benefit from it. I have to be sure the supplement doesn't cause side effects before she can take SAMe. I took 1 tablet, instead of the recommended 2, with water on an empty stomach. The tablet had no unpleasant flavor or smell. During the day, I didn't notice any gastrointestinal or cardiovascular issues from this supplement. So I'll continue taking the supplement tablets for a few more days before Mom starts taking them.

I have used SAM-e for a number of months now. To me, along with a good nutrient dense diet, it makes a good antii inflammatory. I read somewhere that the effects are similiar to Celebrex, which I used to take unti I gave all Big Pharma up and OTCs. Now SAM-e and a good turmuric blend are my gotos for breakthrough pain. It is a less expensive brand and worth a whirl. If not, NOW foods is a good brand too.

My liver. 1 tab daily. with 3 weeks to go noticed very few tabs left @ 1 a-day.Won't buy from them again.
