5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product.
I am really starting to fall in love with the quality of neewer brand products. They are really worth spending money on compared to the cheaper alternatives. The tripod is easy to set up, easy to use and really sturdy. Love how well it delivers above and beyond what was promised. I use this for my teleprompter.
5.0 out of 5 stars Is good
Update- 11/15/2023The seller contacted me and helped me out. This means a lot. You can buy and trust if anything happens the seller will help you. Superb customer service. And the tripod is solid and good.Is a good Tripod but I’ll share my experience. I bought it to film a shortfilm that we was shooting every weekend for a month and half. I was using a shoulder rig with battery and monitor . From the shoulder rig to the stand when needed . That’s when I started noticing the adjusting tension turn screw for the tripod to tilt down or up stopped working like it lost grip, maybe because of the weight? I called Bolo , for my luck the warranty with Bolo was over only with the company. I was filming Inhad no time to be tripod less.I tried fixing it . There is no way of really opening the whole thing . So when I unscrewed fully the adjusting tension screw, it has a washer so I took it off. It seems the screw now has more thread to hold on to. It’s working for now, but I’m treating it more careful. Is good but not full heavy duty. Those are the cons. Pros I like the 360 circular pan.
5.0 out of 5 stars Built for Work
Bought this tripod after having Slik tripods for years. I have added some weight to the camera accessaries setup and this tri pod caught my eye beoings you could adjust the pan and tilt. Already after using it for 1 event recently I will be using this tripod for good. Built well, looks great, head adjustments are great. This is the real deal folks! I would not hesitate reccommending this tripod to anyone. Great job Neewer. I have been using other Neewer products and they have been very good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value
I bought this tripod/fluid head to serve as relatively light, portable mount for a 72mm refractor. The panning motion is smooth, but it requires good balancing and maximum damping of the fluid head to prevent the scope from moving. This is by no means meant to be a criticism, but if you plan to use it for astronomy, make sure your telescope rig weighs less than ten pounds.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Budget Tripod & Head
Purchased this for my Sony Z150 and so far I am liking it. Also took advantage of a $40 coupon so that sweetened the deal. The sticks are sturdy and the head is solid. The 74" height is great especially since I am 6'4" and can get some better angles at that altitude. I gave it 4 stars only because of some caveats with the panning and tilting. Panning is as smooth as butter no matter how much drag you apply, however there is a bit of recoil when you stop, maybe a few millimeters, but it should stop and not move. It will magically reverse directions after you take your hand off the pan bar, but only a few millimeters so its not the end of the world but you need to plan on that when in motion. The tilt is also smooth as butter at any setting however getting it started takes a bit of force and you may encounter a jerky start, but once its moving it is perfect, and if you keep it moving as I do when shooting dance recitals & musicals it fine. It does tighten up after sitting for several minutes and you need to gingerly get it moving again to avoid any jerky tilt starts.I will attribute all of this to being a new product offered by Neewer and being fresh out of the box needing some time to warm up and break in. Hopefully after several uses it will loosen up a bit.Worse case, the sticks are great and you can always upgrade the head down the road. It's till a solid head so it could be used for still photography.UPDATE 9-18-2023: Tilt function has not improved after many months of use. At any adjustment the tilt is stuck until you force it up or down, then its smooth until you stop for a few minutes. Clearly a design flaw as I have seen other reviews with the same issue. Usable for stills but for video don't stop moving it while shooting otherwise the tilt will stiffen up fast. Spend the extra money and get a tried & true Manfrotto head.Update 10-4-2023: After researching and reading othe reviews I removed a ring washer from the tilt lock side of the head and now it is the smoothest tilt you could possible have. I realize that you should not have to do this however it now works as it should. Probably voided any warranty but at this price point I am now happy an wont have to worry about jerky tilt starts.
5.0 out of 5 stars For fast motion video, this is what you need at this price range.
This tripod is a game changer. The independent control over the pan an tilt really makes a difference. Took up plane spotting as hobby recently. Planes move pretty fast, especially the closer you get and the more you zoom. This really makes a difference over the tripods you find on Bolo at a bit lower price, but without the pan and tilt controls mentioned above. This supports the weight of a Sony camera and a 200-600 lens just fine. It could be a tad more sturdy when your not doing much movement with it. That could be due to a pretty long heavy lens and not having it balanced just right though. And if your zoomed max on a 600 mm lens. It doesn't take much movement to get some jitter in the video. I don't do much photography with it, but it seems quite fine when I'm using it for that.I like the clip releases on the legs much better than the screw locks many have. The quick release plate on the head is also very nice. Taking a camera with a large lens off an on sometimes frequently doesn't seem like a chore. It's simple enough to do that I don't feel like if I'm not super careful I may drop the camera.I highly recommend this tripod over the some of the ones at a bit lower price point. I have one of those, not as smooth by any means. I have never used a high end video tripod. This isn't one of course, but with this I really feel like I have control of the movement speed and resistance to jerky movement.
1.0 out of 5 stars Awful product
Recently opened last week for my shoot to find the tilt broken after requesting a replacement for this. I wish inopened it. DO NOT BUY!
Smooth and Sturdy
A Great Tripod for heavier camera rigs, the dampened fluid head allows for very smooth pan and tilt movements as well as the quality metal components on the tripod. The tripod goes more than high enough, and it never feels as if it's going to tilt over or break under a camera's weight. The red accidents are a nice touch, and the ability to control the friction of every movement is also appreciated. Compared to more expensive professional heavy-duty tripod's, this definitely provides a lot of value for the money. Neewer always provides products of great performance and competitive pricing.
¡Excelente! 100% Recomendado
Very good quality
Looks and feels very professional. The 360 is so smooth.
