My children's dentist recommended that we get them electric toothbrushes. Decided to go with a fairly inexpensive one to try it out. This worked well. The vibration is not very intense so it's a good way to ease into the whole electric toothbrush thing. The only annoying thing is that you have to replace the whole thing when it gets old since the head doesn't detach. Feels a bit wasteful. I later bought both kids another model of children's electric toothbrushes that have replaceable heads and vibrate a little more powerfully. My 8 year old prefers the new one and the 5 year old prefers to continue using this one. So I'd say this is a good intermediate toothbrush for younger kids.

Bought this for my 7 year old and for the price it's a great quality toothbrush. It has strong vibration and we've had it for a few months and still haven't had to change the batteries. It's easy enough for my soon to use himself.
