I've easily put at least 1500 miles on it. As mentioned, I ride this board every day to and from work, except when if it's raining, snowing or below freezing. The drive wheels do show some cracking, but remember that's after 1500 miles of rough gravel and sharp edged raised concrete slabs. It still holds a charge like it did when it was brand new. When the day comes that I wear things thing out, I'll gladly buy another one. The durability of this board has been really impressive. I don't understand other comments that show the board or wheels broken. All I can think of is the board was subjected to tremendous abuse, because I moderately abuse this board with the terrain I take it on. It really is a well made board. I also weigh close to 200lbs.August 2023I bought this back in March, and starting around April, I've been riding it every day to and from work (~ 5 miles round trip), with recreational rides on the weekends. I've put about 500 miles on my board, and so far, I haven't had any issues. My route consists of some nasty gravel streets, and the board handles that fairly well. I also have some concrete paths where slabs stick up and have rather sharp edges. I do slow down for these, to make sure not to damage the wheels, and so far, the wheels are holding up really well. The range is great too. I went three days without remembering to charge the board, and only lost one tick from the battery indicator. It's also fast. Sometimes scary fast. As I recall from the instructions, there are three speed settings. I keep it on the middle setting, which on a flat smooth surface, you'll easily do around 15mph. If you go with the high setting, I highly recommend good protective gear, because if you wipe out, you'll be hating your life decisions. I didn't get up to 29mph (I chickened out), but I did have it up to 23, and I wasn't at full throttle. I think depending on your weight, terrain type and grade, 29mph would be possible with this board, so be careful. Don't worry though. It does come factory set for the slowest speed range (max around 8 -10 mph), so you'll need to follow the directions to get it to go faster. Don't waste your money are cheaper boards. Just get this one. If you do a lot of street riding, maybe get the one with the off road tires and slightly lower batter life.
1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after three months, not durable or reliable.
Fun, and useful until it broke. Refused to charge so I sent it in, using the warranty. Hoping for a refund so I can buy something else that won’t break. Was fixed by warranty however one of the wheels broke off shortly there after. Low quality, not very durable whatsoever, it was fun while it lasted.
4.0 out of 5 stars Epic fun right out of the box.
The media could not be loaded. The design of the board is simple and sharp. The handle is awesome as it is a bit heavy. You definitely feel rocks and road so the smoother the pavement the more fun you will have. Regardless this is a hell of a time. The range isn’t really as advertised as riding at top speeds (the most fun let’s be honest) only leaves you with about 8-10 miles of range as far as I can tell. So about half what they say. That’s really my only qualm with this beast. I got mine all decked out with the lights and it’s so cool lol. Also even as an experienced rider, this thing will demand respect. The braking is a trip and sort of a learning curve. Been riding it literally every day exploring my city and trails having a blast. Solid solid company/product very happy with this purchase
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast, affordable, and easy to carry around!
The media could not be loaded. I just received my V5 this afternoon and took it out for a test ride a couple of hours ago. I also have the V4, but it can’t hold a charge anymore and won’t turn on. I bought the V5 because my past experience with the V4 was awesome! Customer support was very quick too, and they sent a replacement part for my V4 when I was having issues with the acceleration. The V4 was fast and easy to learn and maneuver, but the V5 is so much more smoother to ride, easier to lug around (although it’s a tiny bit heavier), and the design is sleeker than the V4. I’ve had a lot of memories with my V4, but I’m looking forward to making more with my V5.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tighten Those chucks!!!
My Friend and his wife have three of these. Last year and half we would go out as a knight cap. Really great time. I put a couple hundred miles on his. Had to get one of these. Day 1I tightened trucks. or so I thought. I get 3 blocks away from my house. Low speed wobble, terrible feeling. was in Traffic. Even at Low speed Lost Control. one foot went one way. momentum 180lbs at 9 miles an hour is lot of energy to be stopped on my knee. Im trained on how to fall. Yet this Blew out my knee. So I was Down 6 weeks no Riding. was looking @ 800 us dollars sitting there. Really thought about sending it back. in this time.6 weeks later. I get back on 2nd day riding less 20 miles on board. im doing 13 miles an hour.Taking it easy from injury. predicting a stop I was slowing down. when the Poly Wheel separated from the electric hub. Any faster would been Bad.I contacted support after talking to friends that own these Boards too want to ride together. Was skeptical. They responded very promptly. Forth coming,No Troubles, They offered to send replacement parts.Tighten Trucks all the way when you first get this. learned my lesson bought PPE, helmet and gear. I advise to do so.hundred miles no problem, one mistake caused lots of pain. don't let your pride get you. serious injury or death.
3.0 out of 5 stars 5/5 however board stoped working
I would Recommend 5 stars overall however, the board has stoped turning on after 1 week no use. Board has been owner for 2.5 months.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good board. Good price.
It's a good solid board. I like the handle. My Meepo V4 has more power, especially on uphills, but this board is fast enough and carves pretty good. Brakes are strong. The deck is flat this time instead of the drop down, so it's hard to feel where your feet are, but it's nice and bouncy. Overall I like this purchase. I have a few other Meepo boards. I like them all, and I think hub motor boards are better than belt boards only because they're less maintenance. Eboards are so much fun, and Meepo makes good ones.
Great. As advertised
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() Everything is as advertised. The battery when charging can get warm, as can the charging block. No where near melting, but I could see a defective charger being a problem. You push up on the hand controller to accelerate and push down to break. Sustained pushing is required. Letting go moves it back to neutral. So for example if you dropped the remote (which you shouldn’t with the strap) it would be just a normal skateboard, no braking or accelerating. The ER battery goes easily as far as advertised. I went 17km up and down hills and ended with the battery just under 75%. With my bag, about 200lbs riding.Climbs hills really well. Only the steepest hill I could find made it crawl to the top and most people would have trouble biking that much of an incline.I’m comfortable on level 3. I tried 4 but it is a very fast acceleration. Speed wobbles start to be a problem for me after ~35kph.
Most fun while it lasted
The meepo V5 ER was a great board until I was riding and it randomly shut off. It has not been able to turn on since and now I am stuck with a paperweight and ZERO customer support! My meepo V5 has been upgraded with the meepo donut wheels, front headlight and rear brake lights costing me 1500+ for the whole board set up. As a regular customer, please do the right thing Bolo. Either a new meepo V5 ER or a refund.
Parfait
C'était un cadeau pour mon mari et il l'adore! Il va faire une course ou part au métro avec tous les matins avec. La durée de batterie semble pas être un enjeu ou une contrainte.
Maybe its just me!
The media could not be loaded. The board was great and fun! For the first month. Was really excited to go out every day with it on smooth roads. Then the next month the battery died. For absolutely no reason. The battery was replaced in under 3 weeks by customer service! Cause they said its a faulty ESC at first and then confirmed it was the battery which died. So, finally i have a new ESC and a battery installed. But, now it constantly keeps losing signal inbetween the ride, especially after the first bar of battery drops. It feels jerky and losing power all of a sudden and coming back. Which feels extremely dangerous on high speeds and turns. So Now, I barely take it out. Cause i know i won't enjoy the ride like i used to. Totally lost hope on this board.
