Disclaimer: I am not an audiophile or a sound junky,I was really surprised by these headphones. For the price, they are well made and are very comfortable for long sessions. I spent most of the day testing them on games, music, movies, and Atmos sound checks. Just so that I had something to compare them to, I put them up against my Surface headphones and HUHD 399M wireless gaming headset.Sound: Sound was clear and crisp. I didn't have any issues with any static or hissing at all. The one thing I will mention....many online reviews say that the low end bass is a little weak. This is true for the headphones out of the box. BUT, this can be easily adjusted using Reddragon's software that can be downloaded on their website. I highly recommended that you install it. It made a huge difference and I was able to boost the base a bit. These do not have active noise cancellation to block outside sounds. However, they do block out a decent amount of ambient noise just by the fact that they cover the entire ear. The 7.1 feature is pretty solid, but I don't have much to compare with. When I used the same Atmos test on my Surface and other headphones for comparison, there was a noticeable difference from my HUHD, but not too much of a difference with the Surface.Mic: Super clear. Bought this to use for gaming and my conference calls. It does have sidetone/mic monitoring, which is sometimes a hard feature to find on other headsets. This can also be adjusted using the software. Note my comment about the headphone jacks. Same applies to the removable mic. Make sure it's plugged in all the way. Note that sidetone will only work via USB. You can still use the mic when plugged into a mobile device (tested on iPhone) and it works fine and clear. You just won't be able to hear your voice on the speakers.Construction: It's well pretty made. The housings are made of plastic, but is covered in a rubberized material. While some people like the full aluminum build, plastic makes these headphones pretty light. If you have a large head, you may want to stretch these out a bit. There're pretty snug. Also, I've read a few people having issues with sound only coming out of one earcup. The same thing happened to me, but I found out that you have to really push to get the 3.5mm plug in all the way. Once I gave it a little more effort, they snapped flush and both left and right channels worked perfectly. The cables that it came with are solid, wrapped with paracord. No issues with my Win10 machine recognizing it, however, they come up as "USB Speakers".If I had to nitpick, my only complaint is that there's a big "L" and "R" on the outside at the headband. It kind of takes away from the aesthetics, but isn't a deal breaker. It's not like you're staring at your head when wearing then. LED lighting would have been neat. I mean, let's face it. MOAR LED. But to one reviewer's point, it's not like you'd be able to see it. So again....not a deal breaker and I have to agree. LEDs on headsets don't make sense to me, but hey...who am I to judge.Really happy with these. They're not as good as my Surface Headphones (although that would be really something if they were) but much better than my HUHD. They're fantastic if you're in the market for some new headphones and don't want to spend on HyperX's or the equivalent brand name ones.

My Gamecon 780 was dying after serving me faithfully for seven years. The earpads were dirty, the headband cracked, and the mic mute switch was starting to affect the mic's ability to work at all. I removed and laundered the ear cups, but the rest was just too much. It was time to retire it. During the Gamecom's functional lifetime, I thought it was the beez kneez. That is, until I actually heard the sound of the speakers on the Zeus...LikesThe sound: Wow. Even at a flat zero-boost/cut EQ setting across the board, I could tell right away that the Zeus had some potential. Once EQ'd, the bass that several reviews said was missing? It jumped right out exactly where it should be. My retired Gamecom couldn't come close to the sound quality of the Zeus.Comfort: My former headset ear pads were made out of felt. Gross and scratchy dirt collecting monsters of yuck. These? Whatever the pads are made of, super comfy. These feel like real quality.Construction: The flexible metal framework adds a lot to the quality of this headset and I do not anticipate anything similar to what happened to my plastic-framed Gamecom. The other thing I really like about the construction is the fact that there are no moving parts or buttons on the ear cups related to settings whatsoever. That is how a quality headset should be. I used to accidentally turn off surround sound, adjust volume, etc... just putting my former headset on. This headset? I just put it on and no accidental changes are made, because there is nothing to interact with where I grab them. Thank you , RD, for getting that part right. I have no idea why companies like putting sound control, mute switches, etc, on the ear cups. I always thought that was stupid. Finally, I appreciate the heck out of the fact that the microphone does not swing upward and downward on a vertical swivel. The swivel type of connection started to wear out on my other headset, causing the mic to stop working until I toggled the mute switch, swiveled the boom, etc.The Microphone: So far, it responds well to input and doesn't sound dirty. No one complimented me on it, but they didn't complain about it either. When I asked them directly, the folks in Discord said "It sounds fine." In my experience with this group, they don't care about the sound of your voice, as long as it's not obnoxious and full of distortion, so telling me "It sounds fine" is a good sign. I have made a few test recordings and agree. I haven't EQ'd it yet, but expect that EQ will make the mic sound really nice. The Software: I was actually surprised that the software came with a built-in EQ. It's not parametric, but my other headset didn't give me an EQ at all! There are Surround-sound features, environment effects, and some goofy voice effects that come built in to the software. Pretty cool. The Price: Its awesome. I hate spending money.DislikesSoftware installation is confusing at first. When you extract the installation folder from the zip file, it shows up with funny characters in the file name. I have no idea why the main folder name would have special characters in it when the rest of files inside seem okay. Nonetheless, the program will not install until you rename the extracted folder. It doesn't matter what you call it, just make sure there are no special characters in the name. This was only a minor annoyance and my system has detected nothing malicious. Its loud out of the box. Come to think of it. I have to make adjustments every time I get a new set of headphones, so this is to be expected. In my Windows sound mixer, at an overall headphone volume of 50%, I have to turn my web browser volume down to 5% to make websites with volume control manageable. Otherwise, YouTube, Soundcloud, and Pandora would blast my eardrums out. Just be aware that you will likely have to adjust your sound mixer to get things where they should be, but it is not difficult. I actually got everything working pretty well. Once you have everything set up, your inline volume control will only increase and decrease the volume by 2% per button press, so post-configuration, you won't have to worry about the headset volume control destroying your ears.ConclusionThe attention to detail on the zeus is incredible. From sound to comfort, and solid construction, it makes expensive headsets appear like Fisher Price toys. Redragon nailed it. You want this headset.
