Update: I am changing my review from one star to 5 based on the response I received from customer service. After speaking with them I will be giving this another try. 9/1/2024I had high hopes for this decanter. It worked perfectly on the first use. After taking out the stopper and rinsing the decanter and stopper it has never worked the same again. There were no directions included but I put it back on as it was when I removed it for washing. It decants fine from the bottle into the decanter but when you want to decant back into the wine bottle the seal doesn’t hold and wine goes everywhere. I had to give it one star but that’s honestly too generous considering the cost vs the poor functionality. I wish I could return it but my husband recycled the box it came in.

This is a beautiful decanter. It’s such a great value for the price. It’s made of crystal and is thicker than I thought it would be. It’s super easy to use and to clean. I love it

Update: The seller provided a replacement decanter, hopefully this one will last longer, but for now, assuming it will, so changing the rating. Still loses one star as the stopper doesn't fit very well, it constantly pops out (on both of the decanters we've had).Really like the idea, but the stopper that the wine bottle decants through broke while a bottle was on it (resulting in a huge mess). Since the order weas 6 weeks ago, Bolo are of no help, and the seller is non-responsive. We'd used it, maybe, a dozen or so time, it should, of course, have lasted much longer.

The nice thing about this decanter is that you can aerate the wine pouring it from the bottle to the decanter, and then you can aerate it a second time by pouring it back from the decanter to the bottle. It is really nice to have a wine served from the bottle. People like to see what it is. They look at the label. There is often some discussion about the winery, etc. So, for us, the ability to both accelerate the breathing process on a red wine and still be able to pour from the bottle itself is a winner. If you prefer to serve from the decanter, that is fine too. It is an elegant shape, and it pours very nicely. It looks great on the table. We love ours.

I'm so annoyed at this carafe. First of all, it's not the same packaging which should have been my first hint. It's also made of a glass-like plastic which never dries and mists inside when capped. Unfortunately, I mistakenly threw the packaging away so don't know how to return it. Return if the packaging is not the same!UPDATE: I have nothing but high praise for the great customer service. I was immediately refunded and I did buy another decanter which I received last night. I will update once used.
