5.0 out of 5 stars Well Made & Static Free
I love this grinder. I had a bodum for years that had a non-skid type surface all over the unit, which means everything stuck to it and it never felt clean. Not so with this grinder. I love how easy it is to clean and there's no static! I love the settings and it's very easy to use. The price is right. I like the design, so it sits on my countertop, unlike my old bodum. It's quite quiet and quick. Makes a great tasting cappuccino in my little moka pot.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best burr grinder I have used.
This grinder has never overheated unlike my pricey last one! The grinder cup always stays clean with little to no residue after being emptied. I paid less for this grinder it is the best one I have used. It is not as noisy as the old one either. The grinds are perfect every time and my coffee tastes great. Very easy to fill, use and clean.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beat one yet!!!
This grinder works wonderful. And what I like best about it is it’s not loud like the cuisinart The blades are heavy duty, easy to clean and you several choices to choose for grinding. Measures out perfectly for the amount of cups you want to grindI can grind fresh coffee in the morning without waking my husband in the other room
4.0 out of 5 stars Good grinder, great mess
Even grind. Pretty quick. Still pretty loud, but the tone of it seems lower than my previous grinder, which makes it less intrusive. It is DEFINITELY not antistatic. It is static cling. It makes such a mess. I have to clean the machine, the outside of the cup, the counter, & the floor every time I use it. I would definitely not grind daily because of this. I batch grind, so cleaning up once a week or so is not that bad. But I don't know why they make it a point to say the cup is antistatic when the ground coffee sticks to this cup more than any other grinder I've had. I would not buy this again + I might even return if I was still in the window.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Burr Coffee Grinder for the Size
First I read a great deal of reviews on this particular model before I purchased it. I am going for an automatic drip coffee maker to a French Press which is what lead me to this model. My personal opinions on this unit so far.1) It is slightly noisy, but not so much that you cannot be in the room with it while it is being used. Has not scared anyone in the house yet, including the dogs, so definitely not a deal breaker as some had mentioned.2) Ease of use could not get any simpler. Set for the desired grind, course for the French press, and the amount of grind for the amount of coffee you are making. These are subjective to the user, but the unit is very straight forward to use.3) Messy or have to clean up the unit. I am not having the issue that some have stated or shown pictures of. If the lid is on the grind container and it is pushed all the way back I have not had any grinds other than those in the container. Again I am user the course setting for a French Press so they may explain why I am not seeing what others may be experiencing.Bottom line for me, functions as it is described, super easy to use, and paired with a good French Press makes a Great cup of coffee.
5.0 out of 5 stars buy this! great functions for price, nice perfect timer feels solid, clicks in place.
Used another grinder that is frequently compared with this one, has no timer, spills, hard to get same exact grind. This one has a great timer, clicky selector and the cup clicks in and feels snug, very little spill (tap before removing).I love this grinder.
1.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE! Tossing it after 6 mos!!
UPDATE after 6-months:Well DANG if this thing didn't fool me for a good while! I was SO thrilled about it. Then after about 4-months it started with the 'static' issue. Not a biggie at first - and I loved that I could remove most of the burr to clean it & it seemed to really help the static when it was nice & clean.....TEMPORARILY.Then another couple of months and this thing is SPRAYING grinds everywhere when I remove the catch bin. Additionally, the catch bin is not longer 'catching' all of the grounds! Each grind I'm removing about a tablespoon of grinds from under & behind the catch bin. I even resorted to grinding the night before & letting it sit til morning (NOT OPTIMAL as the grinds aren't really fresh) and it helps SOME, but still lots of static - more than any grinder I've ever used!!! CRAZY!!PREVIOUS REVIEW:I was trepidatious about ditching my old cuisinart grinder because it do espresso grind so well. But alas after about 4 years it began to fail. One of the things I decided to look for when finding a new grinder was the location of the catch-bin, as a downside of the cuisinart was the catch bin 'entry point' was on the backside - where as the hopper/grinder is above it and it created a constant need for cleaning (grinds would get caught constantly) so I wanted to find a grinder where the entry to the catch bin was 'directly into it' from above/from the grinder. "Engineering-ly" this just seems more efficient - and it is!!This grinder has not only been much quieter (all grinders are going to make some noise, but this is a drastic improvement on noise level); additionally, the grind quality is fantastic! Weather grinding course or this grinder does an amazing job.The theory of the location of the catch bin in relation to the grinder has been a life changer, not only is the grind better, but nothing ever seems to get caught AND it's so much faster. I'm sure eventually it will need cleaning, but this grinder has a lift away segment of the hopper so you can get into the burr area and clean everything… revolutionary! ONLY WISH..... would be a stainless catch container.Static ...... for the first 4-6 months (can't recall exactly) there was NO static during grinding. Eventually with buildup on the burrs it started to be the normal static issue. I do love you can remove the top-burr & hopper to clean it - using an air-can & brush to clean the lower hopper. It helps, but static does return. Helps to wet a spoon & stir beans before grinding. Would be better yet if it had a stainless catch-bin.Absolutely amazing purchase and so very happy with this grinder! Even if by some chance, it doesn't last as long as my cuisinart did… I think I would rather buy another one of these every year - due to the efficiency of the grind, the quietness, and the (initial) lack of static! One of my best purchases on Bolo!
5.0 out of 5 stars Small profile and works well.
Does one thing and does it well. Doesn’t hog the counter space. Great little workhorse for fast, fresh coffee.
Excellent rapport qualité prix
Mouture expresso
Arrived Used
Decided to check whether or not it was used based on other reviews - definitely used, but the manufacturer includes a card claiming it's part of their testing process. Take that as you will. Grinds reasonable well, not quite fine enough for espresso, but that's not an issue for me.
Worked fine for 2 months. Ollygrin not responsive with warranty support
