5.0 out of 5 stars Great toe box and comfortable!
These shoes are great! The toe box is perfectly designed to accommodate those who need a wide toe box. They are comfortable, provide good support for your feet. I’ve walked, ran, rode a motorcycle with them and the grip is great, the sole doesn’t wear out in five minutes like some shoes. The material is very durable and breathable. The shoe has good elasticity and stretch around your foot but isn’t sloppy on your feet. Overall it’s a great shoe. As long as it’s available I’ll keep buying it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Shoes I've Bought
Ok so I have run the Boston Marathon amongst others and done many triathlons. I also used to run cross country and track in middle school and high school. I've been through a lot of shoes in my years. Over the last 15 years, I have looked for a low profile show that had the perfect balance between cushion and flat profile that wasn't doing something weird on the heel or wasn't too tight, etc... There were some shoes that were good but there was usually one little thing that was off about it, like the tongue rubbed the top of my foot, or the heel scraped the back of my foot, or the toe was too narrow. For me, and for what I look for in a shoe, this Whitin shoe is my favorite shoe that I have run in out of the box, ever. I went on a run today and it was just perfect. Flat with cushion, plenty of room for the toes, and comfortable padding in the seams in all the other areas. I don't know how long this shoe will last or if this shoe will be for everyone, but I am really impressed so far! I normally wear a 10.5 and I measured my foot and determined that the 10 would be adequate, since they don't have half sizes. It fit like a glove immediately and I don't even want to take them off. lol
4.0 out of 5 stars Can’t beat for the price but needs a little help
First off I have been loving these for about 2 weeks now. Exactly what I was looking for: affordable, wide toe box, zero drop but with some midsole cushion. I also tried the converse like hitops which were trash in comparison.Out of the box they felt decent, but after wearing them for a few days I could feel my feet getting sore due to the poor insoles. Only thing there is a thin foam piece that does very little. I replaced them with some insoles I bought for some old shoes I no longer wear, and wow they took this shoe to the next level. Comfort is as good as it can get standing on my feet for 10+ hrs.Now the minor downsides. First off as mentioned the insoles. The insoles I put in there are as much or more than the shoes themselves. I’ll come back to this in a bit and why I don’t mind. The major flaw seems to be build quality. I don’t see these lasting too long. I see the outsole separating before the shoe is worn out. You can actually see the glue and how they are attached. In fact the toe on my left foot is already stating to separate a little. With that said the benefits outweigh the cons. I don’t mind using the nice insoles 1) because o already have them laying around and 2) they’ll last longer than a pair of shoes, so I can just reuse them. Yes these shoes will probably wear out faster than I’d like but at their price I could buy 3x these versus one pair of Altra Lone Peaks.I’ll probably still invest in some lone peak hikers for when I want something nicer and a mid top, that way I can switch between them and make them both last longer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Moly! Value for the money is insane!
First off, no frills packaging! I don't care about name brand or gimmicks. They come in a bag with form holding inserts. They appear well made, solid construction and the material feels nice. I am a size 10US and ordered the 44 for the appropriate size comparison. I feel like I could have gone down a size to allow for a bit more snug fit, for running and less moving in the shoe. The wide toe box and zero drop are super comfortable for a natural feeling stance and foot position, but it doesn't feel quite as secure as normal shoes that entrap your foot into unnatural positions. I'm super impressed at how comfortable, and solid they feel. I'm very excited to see how they hold up to running and longevity compared to more expensive shoes. If losing the box and fancy names saves me money and gets me a shoe that holds up and works well, please keep doing what you are doing WHITIN!I will say the laces are super hard to tighten, the loop system is a bit strange in comparison to other shoes. But the laces, the materials and overall construction are great. The sole is not too thick, and the natural foot position affords the opportunity for pain reduction in the feet, ankles, knees and hips! This style footwear is promoted by pediatrist and physical therapist alike !
5.0 out of 5 stars Great barefoot style shoe but with padded sole
I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for 6 months and read about barefoot shoes. I wanted to try that but want some padding. These shoes deliver. The shoe has excellent ventilation. Extremely lightweight. The sole is more padded and thicker than a barefoot shoe but is an excellent balance for me.The profile is pretty flat. No arch support - which has turned out to be great for my plantar fasciitis. The heel is NOT raised. Padding is consistent throughout the shoe. I have seen shoes with more padding but this is a reasonable compromise between extreme softness and a barefoot shoe. You can feel rocks under the shoe etc, but the sole protects.I find the flat shoe and lack of arch encourages my foot to land more on the ball or toes, spreading the load as my foot lands which ends up reducing my heel pain.I did some hiking with these shoes. They seem tough enough. The airy fabric did let some trail dust through. They are comfortably cool shoes.Regarding sizing - there are no half sizes which is a little unfortunate. I went a 1/2 size larger. They are big on me but it's still able to hold my foot pretty securely. I have probably excess room in the toe box, but thats nice. Not the greatest lateral control because they're so big. But comfortable for me.I also tries a 1/2 size smaller. It's a little too small. Still comfortable most of the time, except when heading downhill my toes cram into the front of the shoe.Overall I'd suggest going up the 1/2 size, but it may end up too big.Overall highly recommend for someone wanting to try a barefoot style shoe that has padding.
Tenis que no se sienten como otros de marca conocida
The media could not be loaded.
Nice and wide. Fit EE width well
Lots of toe room. I wear these daily. Happy with them.
Un zapato muy cómodo y de buena apariencia.
Para tener la comodidad de un calzado que no me lastime el pie con Halus.
zero drop, lots of toebox room and padding
I do a lot of barefoot shoes, but sometimes I want all the padding of normal footwear. This shoe is great for me. Lots of room in the toe box, zero drop (or very close to it) and full padding. Very breathable, so I wouldn't wear it in any kind of medium to heavy rain, but I think it compares favorably with a New Balance shoe. It isn't as sturdy, but it is much cheaper.
Talón
Es de lo mejor que hay en tenis minimalistas o de punta ancha, sin embargo llevo 6 meses de uso y la parte del talón se rompió, raspa al caminar o correr
