5.0 out of 5 stars Good for keeping littles entertained
My little really enjoys this product! Worth the money. Some of the buttons are a little hard for him to move, but otherwise definitely recommend this product if you have a curious busy bee! Keeps them entertained.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for toddlers
Perfect for little ones, seems to hold up well. My only problem is if it gets dropped the batteries get tossed out of place because of the design of the battery slot. That could be so much better designed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
My toddler used this well , very sturdy and I got a name brand battery to help with battery life and it did well ! I did make sure to keep up with it to not leave it on over night
4.0 out of 5 stars Techy Dad looking for something to inspire your kids? Try this!
This wooden busy-board is a fun addition to any child's toy collection. It stimulates active hand-eye coordination as well as motor-function development. As a dad who likes to get stimulating toys for his children, I was looking for something different that could be both fun and educational. This seems to fit the bill.Pros:The many buttons, knobs and switches have multiple strength ratings enabling your child to develop strategies for how to turn them off/on. Some buttons (momentary on/off) are relatively easy to manipulate while others (hat switches, rocker switches) require more dexterity in the fingers to move. The bright colors and differences in switches allow the child to see the outcome of actions. "Turn on this switch, a bright red color comes on. Twist this knob, and the yellow color becomes brighter."It is intriguing and makes you feel good as a parent when your child connects the input/output of their actions.Cons:There is one connection which is a small length of wire with a connector that has to be plugged into a slot to turn the light on. While certainly not long enough for a child to wrap around their neck, they may become interested to see what it tastes like. Ensure you, as a parent, are not allowing this behavior and redirect them to the other switches, buttons, etc.The battery box has a void which will allow the batteries (2 AAA batteries) to become dislodged if the board is dropped or thrown. As a resourceful dad, I made a wedge out of a piece of plastic that keeps tension on the batteries under their cover, to prevent them from being dislodged. A simple fix, but if you are not aware of this, you may think it is defective.Other than these 2 cons, the toy is very useful, worth the money, and adds value to playtime with your child.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for little ones to learn about knobs, switches, and ooo lights!
Easy to use. Put a battery in and let them explore and play with the knobs and switches. There is even a rotary switch. Turn the knob, flick the switch and oh look a light comes on. Our little guy loves playing with it so I thought it would make good Christmas gifts for the little folks in our neighbor hood. Gave 10 of them and got loads of thank you compliments. Great gift idea!
3.0 out of 5 stars Good toy but no longevity
This was a toy I bought for my one year old grandson. He liked watching the lights, but as expected the switches were a little too hard for him. I bought it so he could learn to work the buttons and still watch the lights. It is also great for “cause and effect.” However, after 3 months it would not work. I switched batteries, no luck. Cleaned out the battery compartment. No luck. Then I read the reviews about someone who hit it on their hand. I tried it out of desperation and it worked! Who knows how long it will work now. If we turn it off when finished and store it gently, maybe we will have it for a while.
5.0 out of 5 stars Kids of all ages
Both my kids LOVE this thing! I have a 1 year old that loves pressing the noise button and my 3 year old likes to pretend it’s her control board for a spaceship or plane or whatever. This thing has been thrown around and stepped on and yeah put through the wringer and the only damage it has sustained is the small key is now slightly bent. Everything still works and it’s the perfect size. I also love that it’s made out of wood and not some large plastic hunk of junk. I almost wish I had gotten 2 because the kids are usually fighting over it haha! I would definitely recommend!
3.0 out of 5 stars Very fun, but broke
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for Christmas for my one year old son who lives buttons and lights. We’ve had it about 6 MONTHS now and it has slowly fallen apart. Today a switch actually fell out (see image). First the metal toggle switches pushed in, making them difficult to switch. The. The green button quit working properly. Everything else has held up wel though. We did have to put a spacer piece (cardboard) in the battery compartment when we got it becasue their was too much space for the batteries to wiggle and loose connection.Like other reviews I also would repeat that o wish it had a master switch to turn the whole thing off rather than have to manually do each light.Battery life is good. It’s gotten left on for many long periods of time (hours) and we still have not had to change the original batteries.Think it’s a great concept and my son loved it. Just wish it had been made more durable.
Awesome toy.
My grandsons love it. Keeps them busy. Indestructible very solid build. Great quality.
This gift won Christmas!!!
I have a foster nephew that is on the spectrum, he is a very smart 2 year old, upon receiving this gift on Christmas morning he was immediately enthralled by it. We tried to engage him with other gifts, , , , we just had to wait!!! This is another exceptional product, it's well built and affordable priced! I highly recommend this!!!
Great toy!
My 1 year old loves this. Has helped with how much he loves to push buttons he isn’t allowed. Even my 4 year old loves it. So simple and easy to travel
Fun little toy with a couple of flaws
A nice tactile toy with no annoying sounds but there are a couple of small things that could be fixed. First, the dimmer knob with the yellow light pulls right off and poses a choking hazard. If this could be properly adhered then I'd say this toy would be appropriate for toddlers as well. Second, the battery compartment has empty space so that when the toy is dropped from almost any height, the batteries become dislodged. I fixed this by gluing a small piece of wood to the inside of the battery cover.
Busy board
Perfect for my 20 mth old
