I purchased a size XL Hax Obsidian Series Matte Black & Gold full face helmet directly from Hax via Bolo. It arrived quickly & in perfect packaging.First of all it is stunning in appearance, an absolutely beautiful helmet that matches my black & gold motorcycle perfectly. The gold fin arrives off helmet, but snaps in easily. There is gold paint under the fin, so it looks good without it as well.The fit is perfect. It is snug, but soft. Slightly above average for wind sound. Easy to use quick-release strap. Box also includes a soft bag for storage or transport & can be used to dry buff the helmet & visor(s) without scratching as well. Helmet comes with a high quality mirrored & tinted outer visor that has like 4 or 5 positions to vent, plus a smaller goggle-like tinted visor that drops down when you push a tab on the outside... good for use in the day if you want to get some air with the outside visor open, but it is redundant if the visor is shut as it is too dark. But I just bought a clear outside visor from Hax to switch out for when I ride at night so the inside goggle visor will be nice when I'm too lazy to switch back.There are several vents that open\close. One in the front for your mouth\nose. Two on the top sides. All are mostly effective for cooling but I do get a tad bit of fogging every so often if I'm breathing heavily... clears right up with a quick visor release though.Inside padding is firm but soft & has all of the features you would expect. It is removeable if that's your thing. I just use a shot of Febreeze & it stays fresh as new.You get loads of style, but also quality construction & tons of features for a very reasonable cost, so I would recommend this helmet for any rider.

I am pleasantly surprised that this helmet is a good as it is! Not only is the interior cool looking, it's extremely comfortable. I got a Large size and it fits snug, but comfortable. Visor function is great, inside feels a bit cheap, but I'm sure it's fine. Can't wait to go on my first ride with it. Black and green Kawasaki, this helmet is perfect 👌🏻

Really impressed with this helmet! I put my glasses on after securing helmet and they clear just fine. The viser doesn't hit my glasses when I put it down and is amazing sun protection eliminating all glare. Venting is perfect! I rode yesterday for an hour in 90 degree heat and my head stayed nice a cool. Great buy for the price!

Beautiful, light weight, yet sturdy.Hands down the best helmet I’ve ever bought. Sizing is accurate and the paint job/print is very high quality. Helmet fits snug and slips off with ease. The face shield and shade operates smoothly. There is also a deep grove inside the ear section of the helmet for speakers! Some helmets have a shallow space in that area and the additional speakers end up cramming my ears but it’s not a problem here.Overall, this helmet is better than I expected. Highly recommend :)

This helmet saved my life. After a collision where I definitely hit my head a few times, the only sign of damage to the helmet was a missing visor. On top of the amazing protection; the comfort, feel and style of the helmet were all fantastic.The only thing I have to say is that I would size down on the helmet. The size medium fit snugly but there was enough wiggle room to size down for a better fit.

The media could not be loaded. I just received this helmet so I can’t provide too much of an in-depth review, but I will update if I have any major problems with this helmet .My first impression with his helmet was that is very sturdy. It has a good weight to it, I want to say maybe but like 1-3 pounds? It’s a bit heavier than my last helmet but I can imagine I’ll get used to it eventually.If you wear glasses like me, you’ll most likely have to remove the padding. I was able to wear my glasses without removing the padding but it was really a tight fit. If you have bulky glasses, you’ll definitely have to remove the padding but I didn’t have any problems with the inner visor shutting but my glasses frame is fairly small and skinny.My head fit like a glove in the XXL, though I am a bit shocked that my head size is the max size. I believe my measurements are around 25 inches and it fit just right, my head fits in a bit better with the padding removed though.This helmet is better for winter riding, currently where I live it’s about to turn into fall but there’s still a bit of heat so my head was getting a bit warm, but it wasn’t too bad, but at the peak of summer I can imagine this thing would be dreadful to wear for long ridesI didn’t notice any wind coming through the main visor while I was riding, though I do wish there were a bit more vents in the helmet because it is very padded and safe I mean it’s a good helmet but when summer rolls around I’ll probably have to find a replacement helmet since it’s so warm and bulky.
