This is wonderful cabinet, well packaged, great quality, perfect size and easy to put together.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price
Packaging was sufficient. A little surprised it was intact with no damage but all parts were in good condition. No parts missing and hardware for doors, drawers and assembly were packed well with extra assembly hardware was included. Directions were straight forward and easy to follow. Assembly time approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours if for one person. Machining was accurate and all parts fit very well. Doors required a small amount of adjustment and the drawers fit perfectly. The hardware for assembly was easy to use and provides a strong connection for all rails and panels. A small wooden dowel locates the panels for most of the connectors. I would suggest gluing the dowels for a stronger cabinet but it is not included in the directions. The end result was a nice cabinet that ha plenty of space and is very sturdy. Door and drawer function is great with hardware that has a closing assist in the functionality. Over ll I was pleasantly surprised. Looks great and is a nice addition for our kitchen area. Great place for the microwave to set to free up some counter space which is the reason we purchased the cabinet. Five stars all the way.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value for the Price Point
A gave a 4-star overall review as after now assembling the cabinet I would say it is a good value for the price point paid.Everyone wants to know about assembly. Unless you buy a finished piece at a furniture store you should expect any furniture you purchase to require assembly, just as you would expect that any purchase of an electronic toy batteries are not included. My assessment is this piece requires a person with intermediate assembly skills. It’s a large item with lots of parts. The instructions are about on par with what I’ve seen from numerous other assembly furniture, perhaps a bit better than some. As this has complexities, double check the piece and parts against the drawings to be sure you have it oriented correctly and you are using the right screw holes. Some boards require screws to be in slightly different holes on each side, so watch for that. If unclear, look ahead in the instructions for how that pieces connects in with the other assembly to make sure you have it oriented correctly. I feel a person with good assembly skills should be able to follow the instructions without error (I did). A 2nd person helper is needed for certain portions of the assembly, as it is a big and heavy unit. This is made from MDF, not solid wood, and driving in fasteners requires care. Hand tools only. You’ll need to be sure the screws are going in straight and use your feel on the torque to know when to stop turning the screwdriver to not strip out the hole. If you hurry, you’ll end up with crooked screws, torn out screw holes, and chunks of MDF board falling off.I assembled this in about 4 hours. Note that I took my time, was very careful and meticulous, and took frequent breaks. If you go straight through you could assemble it faster, but I don’t see anyone doing this for the first in less than 2 hours. To do this right, you’ll need time and patience, so set aside a good block or so of time to work on it.The fit and finish is decent. Unit strength seems adequate for the intended purpose, although I would have like to have seen a bit more heft on the doors given you'll be opening and closing them often. The cabinet doors have Euro hinges with quite a range of adjustments. I got my doors trued up right on as you can see from the pictures.I finished my build with every screw in straight, all parts properly aligned and fitted, joints tight, zero assembly errors and no board damage. You can do likewise – but time, care, and patience are key.Overall, I feel this is a decent value at this price point and I’m happy with the result. Solid wood versions of similar type cabinets will be of higher quality but will cost 2X more (and will still need to be assembled). Really your call on what you are looking for and the price you’re willing to pay.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted
Bought this to organize smaller fitness items in our home gym. Love the color, the height and storage capacity. As with all modular furniture it requires patience and attention when assembling. Instructions were clear, mostly all visuals, very few written details. They provide one more than the exact number of hardware pieces needed, a nice touch.
1.0 out of 5 stars I would never buy this item again
I hated that it was so cheaply made that when I moved it to work on the top of it, it pretty much fell apart.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful looks great, assembly is required
My son helped me build this and there were a lot of pieces to assemble. I probably could have done it myself but decided to pay him to make my life easier. This is definitely not your average simple IKEA assembly. There are lots of bolts, screws and panels. It takes patience to build but the results are beautiful and will definitely make your space look better. Storage is good I'm able to fit the 2 gallon water containers. You know the large ones with the spouts. I was able to get my kitchen nice and organized. Looks great, I like the wood top, it gives it more style and a higher end look.
