5.0 out of 5 stars This card is GREAT for its power consumption to performance
This card performs fantastic for the amount of power it pulls. The card also looks great too. But at its price range I simply can't justify paying the $600 asking price for it after tax. If this card was in the $450 range and totaled $500 after tax, I think it would settle much nicer for its price to performance. But given it's current price range I would recommend waiting until it's on sell.Again, a GREAT card that overclocks really well and stays cool. But a bit to high for its asking price. Wait until it's on sell. Much more bang for your buck then the nvidia variants though that's for sure.
5.0 out of 5 stars 4k gaming with no compromises
9 years ago I bought a 4k monitor. I knew the day would eventually come that I would be able to run games at 4k. Paired with an R7 5800X, 32gb ddr4 3200mhz, and an 850 watt power supply to feed this beast. I can finally run 4k 60fps max settings in every game I've tried.Hell divers 2, gta 5, far cry, halo, phantom pain, ect.Enable AMD SAM and you'll see a solid uptick in performance, but more importantly performance stability.I don't get stuttering, or frame dips.I enable vsync and my fps stays steady at 60. I've never had that even at lower resolution. This card is worth it.If you're on DDR4 still, upgrade your AM4 socket chip to a R7 5800x or 3dxd. It's a beast for the value, and you'll be getting more from your system.
5.0 out of 5 stars Phantom Gaming 7900XT
Huge and powerful. Looks nice sitting in your white themed build. Fans are quiet enough. Make sure your case can accommodate 330mm. Requires only two 8 pin Pcie.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great performance but awful coil whine
Got myself the 7900gre. The card performs as expected with great temperatures. However, the coil whine is pretty bad on this card. Guess I will have to live with it. Good card though and very pretty. Perfect for a white build.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I have this on the matching steel legend series motherboard. 10/10 great gpu for the price. High end but not so much that it costs an arm and a leg. Runs well. Sometimes have screen tears on games but I run them all on ultra high graphics settings. Mess around with the AMD software thing to change your gpu processing settings and it cleans up a little. All in all good gpu would recommend. ;)
5.0 out of 5 stars Make sure it fits and consider a case with a support bracket.
I made the switch from an RTX 3080, which I sold for more than half what I paid for this, so I’d say unless you have an extra grand for a 4090, the AMD cards are a much better value right now for most users. I did a clean uninstall of the Nvidia hardware and drivers, then installed this card and the AMD drivers were installed and the machine runs great and fairly cool. My case, and Asus ProArt, has mice bracketing for GPU support. You may need support since this card is nearly double the weight of the 3080. But in any case it does run quiet enough and the performance is certainly all you need for 144p in any game…. I don’t game in 4K yet, but this would likely still be good enough for all but the highest settings and/or ray tracing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent gpu
I came from an Nvidia 2080 T overclock, founders edition and all I can say is the 2080 TI couldn’t come close to touching what this card can do. I am running at 80% running 34 40 x 14 40 and on COD modern warfare three I’m pushing 240 FPS I don’t see the point and even turning the overclock on this thing is super fast, super strong and runs cool with no problems. I definitely recommend this card.
1.0 out of 5 stars Horrifically terrible coil whine
It's common for GPU's to have something called coil whine when undergoing intensive tasks such as rendering or gaming (Even PSU's have this). However this GPU has the absolute worse case of it I have ever heard in my life and I have owned plently of GPU's both from AMD and Nvidia, both used and brand new. The coil whine on this card was so bad that it was louder than my pair of Edifier desktop speakers. While it is probably an issue specific to my particular unit, there is a chance that the seller will end up just accepting my return (Which they thankfully have) and turning around and selling it as "used" or "open box". Knowing this particular card is still prob out there is enough for me to tell you to look at another 7800 XT listing instead.
Perfect Gaming Card
I upgraded from the RX 7600 what a difference, runs all my games on Ultra 1440p without RT. If you want RT best to go to medium or low. The Adrenaline software works great and the card is very quiet. Pairs well with the 7600x CPU
Espetacular!!!!!
All you need for gaming
This card is great looking and works well. At 1440p will run most games at High/Ultra. When FSR3 comes out, will be even better
Excellent quality and performance.
Amazing graphics card. Top quality & performance. The only negative is you will have to search for and install software to change the rgb.
