This accessory adds the various ports that should have been included and built into the computer. This makes my new Mac Book Air comparable to my older Mac Book Pro. It's light and small enough and plugs into the only two ports provided on the Air expanding the interface capabilities to include an HDMI, a USB C, 2 ea. USB3.0, a Firewire, a Micro SD and Standard SD Card ports. It works very well and because of it's size is easy to transport with the computer. I highly recommend this to anyone who has or is planning to purchase a Mac Book Air. Definitely worth the price.

Product was just what I needed. Shipping was fast. Works perfectly for my MacBook Air with ease of setup. It Charges, has 2 usb ports, hdmi, and 2 micro Sd slots. I haven’t experienced over heating but it does pull a lot of power with multiple things attached at once.

This product is light, compact and attaches easily to my MacBook Air M2. I use it to connect a hard drive for backup, and I can also recharge my iPhone. This is a solid and very good product.

It's completely my fault - I missed the fact that the device doesn't have a headphone port. I guess, I will have to look for either USB headphones or a wireless set. Other than that, the device works good so far. The monitor doesn't seem to flicker, which is often the case with similar hubs.

I made nothing unusual. The hub was plugged to a surge protector thru Dell power adapter. Out of the blue, my secondary screen lost signal, then I realized it's supplying no power. Once I replaced the hub, everything else worked.Update: Received proper and prompt care by the seller to address the defect item. Great customer service

I just installed this and it is working well.I have one main monitor that is connected directly into my laptop via HDMI.I have 2 flank monitors that are connected through this device.I'm getting 1440p on all monitors, and I have one flank monitor at 60 Hz and the other at 144 Hz.I would have been able to get both on 144 Hz, but this is a limitation from my graphics card (most likely a VRAM limitation issue).I really hope this thing lasts a long time, because I really like how easy this was to set up and get going.

It’s a nice addition to the MacBook Air. It resides snuggly to the left it has not caused any issues with typing. Works as expected.

Fits perfectly into my Thunderbolt female ports and provides many female ports.
The two Thunderbolt male ends on this are spaced properly and go easily into two of the Tbolt female ports on my macBook Pro (the laptop comes with 4 Tbolt female ports). This adapter goes into the female computer ports securely and is not loose. It does however use up 2 Tbolt female ports and only gives me one Tbolt female port in the adapter. The macBook Pro is very difficult to use day-to-day without an adapter and/or a USB hub. I don't know why Apple decided to provide only 4 Tbolt ports and no USB ports, when so many things have USB male ends. This adapter is attractive and I recommend it.
Great tool
Don’t really need all the usb ports but love that it comes with sd slot and usb c. Like that it plugs in to be right against my mac but sometimes falls out (and I need to take off my case to make sure it actually connects). Still great and glad I got it.
