4.0 out of 5 stars Great FTM gift !
These nasal aspirators are very helpful as a FTM. While you still might need a bulb or the Frida nose hose, this has advantages. There are different levels of suction depending on how plugged up your little one is and to not suck too hard. When they are infants, they almost find it interesting vs the other options because it makes a noise and has digital light coming off of it. Best of all, it sucjs the boogies right out! These make GREAT gifts for expecting moms on their own or in a gift basket!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great baby aspirator
This aspirador is very gentle and easy to hold, sometimes they could be to big when your holding it so when it doesn’t fit good in your hand you struggle more and you could hurt your baby. This one fits great so I have a good control over it and can use it good without strugguling. Easy to clean and keeps my baby distracted and lets me take out all his little boogers
3.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to love this
I wanted to love this gadget. I wanted it to be the last boogie device I ever reached for! Unfortunately, it is now just part of the team. It is handy, and it does work for certain situations. I think maybe it depends on the type of congestion your kiddo has? There has been maybe two days of the most recent cold where I have gotten some good action out of this little guy, but for the most part, I still find myself reaching for manual suction device (like the one that uses mouth power, not the bulbs). Even if I use saline, I haven't had a lot of luck reliably coaxing gunk from the nose with this, unless she's very congested and nose is visibly running. On the occasions that I have gotten gunk out, cleaning the boogies from the tube they travel through to reach the collection bin is not a walk in the park. I ended up using like a straw cleaner situation. It is easy to charge and put together. I really like that it has a lid to keep the tip clean between uses. I also like that the lid fits on the bottom during use so you don't misplace it in the heat of battle. This came with some lighted plastic tweezers, which I believe are intended for plucking boogies that lurk within sight. The light is a nice little addition and the plastic tips have little rubber coatings to help deter painful jabs. These were too big for my kids nostrils, but maybe I will need them as they get older...or maybe my kids nasal anatomy simply doesn't lend to these.Overall, the nasal aspirator can work, but its performance unfortunately does not surpass the manual suction devices that I have used in the past.
4.0 out of 5 stars I appreciate the anti-backflow option
If you're in the market for an affordable electric aspirator, then this one is a good choice. I'm happy this unit offers three suction options. An easy to read digital display allows you to view your suction settings, battery life, and cleaning prompt. I tend to use the pulse suction on my daughter. It does a good job, but it won't always suck up the more viscous mucous. Some tweezers were included. Just make sure to place the included silicone tips on them first before using. The tweezers are what really helps to extract the harder mucous that the suction can not. This aspirator was made to primarily suction runnier mucous. If suction is too strong, it can be damaging to a baby's nasal passage. I feel safe using this aspirator on my daughter's nose because all of the sution levels are safe for her. Plus, you get two food-grade silicone nozzle tips to choose from. They're completely safe to steam clean or boil.I do like the anti-backflow feature on this aspirator to help prevent potential bacteria. Any detection of an overflow of fluid will cause the motor to stop. You'll see the faucet icon light up when this occurs. All you do is clean out the collection cup with soapy warm water, dry it, and then reassemble it so that you can use it again. All in all, it's not a bad aspirator. It's rechargeable, portable, and does a good job of cleaning out my daughter's nose.
2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't get my son's buggers
It seams like it has a decent amount of suction but the baby tip was not able to really get any of my son's snot out. There are definitely better ones out there that have sound and lights to also distract your little while getting their buggers out. I just wish the suction or tip was better because I like that it has a nice compartment for the snot
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Nasal Aspirator
This nasal aspirator works really well and has a variety of features that help make this a great option to have. I like that it has a clearly legible display that shows you the suction mode and intensity, battery life, and it will indicate when it needs to be cleaned. It comes with 2 different silicone tips so you can use what works best for the situation. It has an anti backflow set up so that you don’t run into those issues, and you can use this nasal aspirator in any position without issues. The battery life is decent allowing multiple uses prior to needing to be charged. It isn’t very loud even at the highest setting so you can easily use this when your little one is sleeping without waking or scaring them. There are a good amount of pieces to clean when you are breaking it down to properly sanitize, but it isn’t too difficult to clean or reassemble so I did not find this to be an issue. Overall, this is a solid product that serves the purpose it is needed for and is easy to use and handle. Would recommend.
