After months of contemplation, I decided to order this island, and I do not regret it at all. I was pleased that the shipping was quick, considering it's large and heavy. It was packaged amazingly well, every part carefully wrapped and cushioned. The directions were very well done, large drawings and all the parts labeled. It only took me an hour to assemble it, and EVERY pre-drilled hole matched up. EVERY ONE! The drawer asssembled fine and works well.One tip I would suggest is to not tighten all the screws until you've matched up everything, THEN tighten them. Also, use the supplied hex key to assemble and not power tools. This isn't oak or hardwood.It's a nice looking unit and I feel the price is reasonable for what it is..... a production piece of furniture produced overseas.

My apartment is small and open concept. I got this island to delimit the kitchen area from the rest of the space, extend my counter and storage space, and also to use as a dining table with bar stools. Overall it's a very functional piece and it works in my space just as I had intended.It was very easy to put together. It's solid wood, quite neutral, airy and simple. I find that it looks more expensive than the other more elaborate islands on here. Think Scandy minimalism, and be careful about cluttering it too much.Overall it feels sturdy, except for the drawer. I wouldn't store anything heavy in there. The shelves are fine with a little weight though.

I was pretty skeptical this would be really cheap wood and hardware but was very happy with it was easy to put together and looks great. It’s in our laundry room and is perfect for that.

I was on the hunt for something large and sturdy enough for our big and heavy microwave. I used the dimensions of my Microwave to look for a cart. Hubby took about 1 hour to assemble. It was the perfect fit and faux wood feels very sturdy and looks good. There is a lot of room on the shelves to store small kitchen appliances or pots and pans. It is almost perfect. I took away 1 star because the drawer seems a bit flimsy. It feels like it’s not gonna last too long or it’s going to break eventually. Not a smooth open or close for the drawer. I use the drawer for kitchen cloths and oven mitts, nothing heavy.

We bought the first of these islands in white with a light wood top. That one found a home in our laundry room. My laundry basket fits perfectly on the top shelf and there is space for other laundry-associated products on the bottom shelf. Mesh bags go in the drawer. The height is ideal for folding and stacking clothes. Next, after a search for a storage unit/TV console went on and on, I considered the "Island" again. In black with the walnut top, it looks great in our bedroom with space for games and DVDs on the shelves. This is a very versatile item; well-made, easy to assemble, no damage at all. We are very satisfied and the price is great, too.

Not heirloom quality furniture but a lot better than I expected. I looked at tons of different prep tables and kitchen islands before I purchased this. I've always been a big believer in "you get what you pay for", so the low price of this product made me a little wary, but I'm pleasantly surprised how sturdy and stable it is. I'm a pretty experienced mechanic, ambidextrous and I put it together myself in about 30 minutes. If you're not like me, you may want to consider having a helper to assemble it. It delivers the storage space I needed and it's eye appealing. Good protective packaging. Don't be afraid of the low price. I recommend this product.
Seems ok in a pinch
Overall, fine for what you pay for, though I suspect you would get better value from Ikea. Sadly, with such good reviews here I didn't bother to check other options. The shelves fragile and doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold 50lbs as stated in their ad, I doubt the structure can hold 100lbs as advertised.
Great kitchen island - with cherry wood top
Great look (cherry top). Easy to assemble. Been using for 2 months. Solid & stable, both shelves loaded. Good size, probably more convenient if placed against a wall. Drawer for small non-heavy stuff only. Only issue with delayed delivery .
Good quality!
I searched for a long time for the perfect size island for my small kitchen and this 40” wide island ticked all the boxes. Easy to assemble and lightweight to move around as needed. The drawer is a bit shallow but fits boxes of plastic wrap, aluminum foil etc. Love it!
Nice top, cheap wood and finish
Overall, good value for the price. Top is very nice quality and beautiful. But the rest is made of cheap wood that splits easily. I had three splits while putting it together despite the holes being aligned and not over tightening. I used wood glue to fix it and hopefully it will be ok. White finish is very sheer, damages easy and not very washable. I put a coat of polycrilic to ease cleaning and hopefully, protect it a bit better. Many reviews mentioned issues with drawer but I had no problem with it. Overall, for the price I paid, I am happy with it. It's a nice size, looks good and was easily put together, even if the quality is kind of meh.

Use the island for a coffee/ tea / toaster area in our kitchen and the bottom shelving is perfect for storing our chrome pots and pans. A nice decorative and practical island.
