About this item:
Have you spotted fruit flies swarming around your kitchen or garbage can? With the TERRO Fruit Fly Trap, you can get the best of these annoying household pests in no time! This fast-acting trap uses a liquid bait to lure adult fruit flies inside. Flies that enter the trap are unable to escape and continue breeding. This trap features an attractive apple-shaped design that will look at home in any kitchen. Meanwhile, a built-in window allows you to keep an eye on catches and lure levels. When trying to eliminate fruit flies, the key to success is locating their breeding areas. You’ll typically spot fruit flies swarming around kitchen fruit bowls and near garbage cans. For best results, place traps behind or under kitchen counters, sinks, dishwashers, near unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables, and any other location where fruit is stored.

5.0 out of 5 stars WORKS AMAZING
These work amazingly well. I made a mistake and went camping for the weekend. I usually remember to remove perishables. But this time we forgot a couple bananas in the fruitbowl. This was just enough to spark a problem. I bought 3 different types of fly and fruit fly traps and baits to see which works the best. These arrived first so I set them out. They got little interest the first day. But by day 2 they were very interested in them. Day 3 they are all over these traps and you can literally watch them climbing in to their demise.I couldn't be more pleased. They seem to not have a way back out once they go in. I can already see some floating in the liquid bait. So all in all I would say success. I was trying home made remedies in the past with mason jars and plastic wrap. But I have to say this is far less hassle and messes. Takes up less space. And I will definitely be stocking more of this bait liquid.I had bought some cute little ones that look like succulent plants. And they aren't getting the same attention. So I am going to try to wash one out and refill with the bait from these terro ones. As I am thinking it might be the mixture of this terro bait.I hope so Because I far prefer the aesthetic of these plant type ones. The little red apples or tomatoes are pretty basic almost eye catching. And if you are trying to knock out a fruit fly problem you don't exactly want a giant red eyesore in your kitchen drawing attention to your little problem. I really wish these were less tacky looking. The bright red color would definitely attract small fingers. As they look like a small ball or toy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast & Effective Fruit Fly Solution
We have tried other options and nothing helped. This was the last time I was going to waste money on buying useless traps that do nothing.I ignored them for 2 days assuming they'd be empty. They have a helpful little clear window on one side to make it easy to peek in to see if any fruit flies have met their demise.I was thrilled to see the lifeless bodies of the most annoying bugs that up until now had been smarter than the other traps. All 4 Traps had done what others couldn't do. Every single trap had numerous kills by the 2nd day.Buy this brand 1st and avoid wasting money on others that don't work.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works the Best but Should be Reusable
The only reason this is not 5 stars is because it’s not reusable. The apples could easily be made to twist open to clean them out and add more liquid. Instead, they are throw aways. What a waste of resources! But I keep buying them because they work. Make them reusable and then sell the liquid to replenish, and it’ll be perfect!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works fast! Best product ever!
So, my sister said try these cute little apples, they work and look adorable.I've been using the apple cider vinegar with a drop of dish detergent in small bathroom cups that my cats knock over from time to time and it worked but very slowly and I'd have to change it out every night for a week to get rid of all the fruit flies. Fruit flies come in with the fruit from the grocery store (we eat a lot of fresh fruit), but they like the cat litter box too😕These little apples (1 in the bathroom & 1 in the kitchen) last a month (no constant refreshing) and it only took 2-3 days! Amazing! They can spill the bait that comes with them, but not easily. Since they are small & work so fast, the cats didn't turn them over yet. Will purchase again as needed!
3.0 out of 5 stars Works but You Better Do The Following Instead
Since I love the TERRO brand’s ant bait (TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer) a lot, I had high expectations, but I was kind of disappointed with this product.Does it work? Yes, some what, but not as effective as I hoped. Here’s a better solution: Pour a couple of ounces of apple cider vinegar into a bottom-flat container (I use an old glass jam jar) and add a bit of dish soap. This works WAY better than the TERRO Fruit Fly Trap. How much better? I caught ~30 flies with the TERRO trap, but the vinegar trap caught 50+!Do I recommend this product? 50/50 - I'd rather just make one myself.
5.0 out of 5 stars It takes a few days to attract fruit flies
These work. Just understand that it takes several days for the fruit flies to find them. The design is really good, and they look better than the homemade trap I made with apple cider vinegar, water and dish detergent. The homemade trap works equally well, but the negatives are that the homemade one is easier to spill and the dead bugs are more visible than inside the Terro product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked quickly!
We used these for fruit flies in our kitchen. It got rid of them within a couple days. Very impressed with how fast it worked! Very easy to use, safe, and catches the bugs quickly. Worth the money.
4.0 out of 5 stars Effective Fruit Fly Solution, But Watch for Spills
I've been using the Terro Fruit Fly Traps for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with how well they work. Within just a few days of setting them up, I noticed a significant decrease in the number of fruit flies buzzing around my kitchen. The traps are discreet, and the apple-shaped design blends in nicely with my kitchen decor. However, they can be a bit tippy and prone to spills if accidentally bumped. Despite this, I highly recommend it!
