I'd had my old set since 2008. They had really thick handles that were like riveted on. I liked them okay, but they were hard to clean where the handles met the utensil. Finally, the handles started actually breaking, so it was time to get a new set.I appreciate that I could buy a set of 8 that are just knife, fork and spoon. I'd never use the rest of most sets with the salad fork, etc. I also like how easy they are to clean.The spoons are a little larger than my previous ones, but that's okay and I'm getting used to it.Good purchase for a good price!
