5.0 out of 5 stars The only non-sugar sweetener I use!
The media could not be loaded. This Monk fruit Allulose blend is the only sweetener that my body tolerates, besides honey and cane sugar. I like to mix this blend in plain yogurt. The taste is sweet, but slightly less sweet than cane sugar. The crystals are a little smaller and less crunchy than sugar. Zero calories is a bonus! Carbs are 8 grams for 2 teaspoons so if you count carbs or are keto, take that into consideration. The powder dissolves very easily in liquids so it's quite a versatile sweetener. You can also bake with it, using a 1:1 replacement for sugar in recipes. I have not tried baking with it yet. I will say that the cost is high for the amount you get, but I think it's worth it to avoid cane sugar. This is a good quality item and shipped to me intact and quickly!
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this stuff
I love this stuff. I have been trying to gently switch from stevia to allulose since your body doesn’t absorb it and it doesn’t contribute to my daily caloric intake. It doesn’t have an after taste and I use it in my coffee and iced tea. It has been a wonderful substitute.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for diabetic friendly recipes
This is about as good of a sugar substitute as can be found. It's not quite as sweet as sugar, but if I go 1.25:1 it's pretty close. Doesn't really have a noticeable aftertaste that I've found.Unlike Erythritol, which will dissolve in water but will reform crystals when cooled, this will dissolve completely as a solution and stay that way for weeks. From simple syrup to baking, this substitute behaves almost exactly as caster sugar (baker's sugar).
4.0 out of 5 stars Works in place of powdered sugar
Used to sweeten home made guava juice. This worked better than 100% allulose because it sweeten immediately. When I used 100% allulose the guava juice did not become sweet until the next day. With additional time the 100% allulose became too sweet because I added so much of it initially (3 times the amount I use with regular sugar). With the Monk Fruit/Allulose product I used the same amount as when I use regular sugar to sweeten guava juice and it left no aftertaste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Erythrol blend
I like that Xylitol is an alternative to Erythrol. As of today, 08/09/2024, after I drank my first cup of coffee, there was no aftertaste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste!
I used this in a bread recipe. It was one for one and I didn’t even notice it. Great baking choice for those avoiding sugar.
1.0 out of 5 stars Tastes fine, but the packaging is TERRIBLE
Update: About halfway through this 4lb bag, the packaging problems got even worse. Whoever decided to put this in a paper-like bad made a major miscalculation in its design. We found a one-inch tear low in the bag, with allulose spilling out all over. Thankfully, we'd already realizing the packaging was a problem and sealed it in a larger bag that could be secured. If we hadn't, this would have not only made a huge mess, but we would have lost two pounds of product to contamination. That's unacceptable given what this stuff costs. Again, the product itself is good. But they need a total overhaul of the packaging. And if you order this, in any size, be prepared to re-package it yourself or lose the product. Given this paper-like packaging also lets in too much humidity that causes clumping anyway, that would still be a good idea.--My wife likes the taste of this one fine. It's one of two brands of allulose, monk fruit blends she prefers. But the packaging for this brand is awful.First, it arrived covered in a dust of the allulose. That should have been the first warning sign. Can't even return it now because she opened it before we realized the bigger issues.1. There's no way to seal these bags. The company talks about "no plastic" as if it's a great thing. But it's not a great thing when that includes having no way to seal your lousy paper-ish packaging. This is a fine, nearly powdered product. Buy it during humid months like now, and you're asking for clumping or mold when something can't be properly sealed. It's too wide for most clips to properly seal. And having to jam it inside a large zip-lock style bag or canister leaves you with far more plastic than it would have taken to just add a seal to the bag itself!2. We confirmed too late that the bag has a small hole somewhere. My wife noticed allulose was coming out and covering the surface where she keeps this and most of her coffee stuff. When she placed it back there after making her coffee this morning, she noticed a "poof" of allulose came out the bottom, as if it's being forced through a tiny hole. We haven't found the hole, so it could also be a problem along a seam of the bag. Either way, we have no way of knowing how long this bag has been partially open or what the allulose has been exposed to. She's still using it because, well, we spent a small fortune on 4lbs of sweetener. But you can come up with eco-friendly packaging that doesn't create food safety issues. Not at all happy about this. After this, we'll probably switch back to the other brand. It sucks it only comes in 1lb bags, but the savings on bulk aren't worth it if we can't trust the product to be sealed and safe.
5.0 out of 5 stars At last!
Monk fruit and allulose is the best sugar substitute yet. No ingredients that mess up your gut or taste weird like erythritol. Almost as sweet as sugar, just use a little more. And, like sugar, this blend has a sparkling feel on the tongue. Something I've missed with other substitutes.I really appreciate that this Impact brand comes in more economical larger packages. Makes baking with it affordable. All that's left is a great substitute for brown sugar.
