5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of nice features and useful, but some drawbacks
Nice features on the light. I like the side light, red light, and usb charging capabilities. The beam is adjustable, but I hoped it would go wider. The light output is very bright, but I highly doubt it is anywhere close to 290,000 lumens as advertised. There is a bit of fringing on the output as well.I don't like the rubber cover for the usb, it blends in with the on/off button which is similarly placed. Personally I prefer the on/off button to be on the butt end of the light.Battery life seems very good, however I question how accurate the indicator is for measuring the charge level. The light comes in a nice hard case (although it is unlikely I will ever use it for its intended purpose), but also a nice nylon sheath that can be easily fixed onto a belt. I also appreciate the added adapter to use regular batteries if needed. All in all for the price I like the light a lot. It has all the right features and compares well to more expensive models. It is very useful for camping, hoping that the construction integrity will last a while.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great flashlight
It appears to be very sturdy, functional, heavy duty, and well crafted. The light is phenomenal. Works fantastic. Would very much recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sucker is bright
This was purchased because I take my dog on walks later in the evening when it is cooler….due to health issues the heat kills me. My neighborhood doesn’t have many street lights and my fiancé worried with me walking in the dark. Not anymore! This thing is so freaking bright! It is rechargeable via the power cord OR the sun.
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent flashlight for the money
I knew this wouldn’t be a 990k lumen light. That is such a ludicrous claim they make. It isn’t 990k BTW. It is a good bright light though. The charge seems to last a good while too. I only give it 4 stars because the claims are so ridiculous. The only thing I would actually change is the sequence of light modes you have to go through to turn it off. I would prefer on/off.
5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!
Best flashlight ever! Perfect size not too big or heavy. Has a chargeable battery Atwell as a adapter for aaa battery. Highly highly recommended
5.0 out of 5 stars Strong light
Before I let my dog out at night. I live with a lot of coyotes in woods behind my house. My yard is fenced but I must check none got in my yard. I bring a gun and flashlight out with me just in case.I do have flood lights also.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted
This flashlight, after using and recharging several times is the best flashlight I have ever owned. The flood light setting is extremely bright and wide. I take my dog out early each morning when it is dark and can follow him easily. His eyes and my eyes are no longer what they were but we can both see with no problem. The charge lasts me about a week. The brightness gradually fades as it loses power and the indicator loses dots. When it needs recharging it restores the brightness to the original level and we’re good for another week. The spot light setting is easily reached by sliding the lens ring up with your fingers as you hold it. I easily spotted a deer a quarter mile down our road as it was crossing one morning.. I do not review products often but this is an excellent ,dependable flashlight and I highly recommend it. I’m buying another for my wife for Christmas.
3.0 out of 5 stars Some problems with this flashlight
It came in a cool box and my first thought was that it was bigger than I expected. I think it comes with the wrong battery because the battery provided is too small in diameter for the case. It can be carefully placed between the springs and will remain in place unless the flashlight is struck. I got the battery in and it showed three blue dots out of four when I turned it on. I cycled through all the modes and it was plenty bright, I'm not convinced that it's as bright as advertised but lacking an objective means of testing I'll let that stand as satisfactory. I put it on to charge and left it overnight. In the morning it still hadn't charged to four blue dots, in fact in the days since I haven't managed to get it past three blue dots. My conclusion is that it will never take a full charge, even when supposedly new.It comes with a sheath for wearing the flashlight on my belt, so I put the sheath on my belt slightly behind me and slid the flashlight into it. As I slid it in the edge of the sheath caught the rubber cover for the USB ports and tore it off. The rubber cover has a tab for grasping to open it. This tab points down (toward the tail end) and it is impossible to put it in the sheath without the cover catching on the sheath. It's a matter of very poor design. Now that the part of the cover that attached it to the flashlight has come out I find that I can turn it so the tab is pointing up which will allow it to be inserted into the sheath without catching. The cover fits tight so even though it's a poor solution it stays on the flashlight.I like the flashlight itself well enough that I'll probably keep it and try to find a rechargable battery that fits, but I can't really recommend it.
