5.0 out of 5 stars The quality of the humidor
I've had a few humidors so far and for a cheaper price this is a beautiful humidor the finish is very well done I don't know if they are all pre adjusted but the hygrometer is very accurate already while I am calibrating it,and so far no leaking too. the only thing I don't care for is the humidifier it is a bit below par but can easily swap it for a better large one instead for at least $10 bucks
5.0 out of 5 stars Humidor is worth twice the price!
I have been collecting and smoking cigars going on 25 years. I have several.large cabinet humidors and many smaller ones ranging from 500 ct. To 100 ct. I bought this humidor for and overflow I'm experiencing now. I firmly believe that this humidor will hold Fifty 50 ring gauge cigars comfortably. Quality, function, and looks are all there. Great humidor for the novice cigar person and a great humidor for the seasoned cigar smoker who has O.C.D. Highly recommend!
4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful box
It looks great and functions as it should. One negative is that the humidifier falls off the inside of the lid occasionally. It doesn’t have to be mounted there, but I wanted to maximize the storage space in the box.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very nicely designed, very well made, for more than cigars
Hello wooden flute players! I have a three-piece keyless D flute made of African Blackwood and its maker suggests storing it in a relative humidity (RH)-controlled box or case having RH slightly lower than the proper humidity for cigars. The 9 inch length of my flute's head joint easily fits into the 9.8 inch interior width of this box and very few of the smaller cigar boxes have 9 inches or more of width, so this was a rare find. Not only is the craftsmanship of this box excellent, yes, just that good, but the box is made of cedar wood, not simply a wooden box lined with a thin veneer of cedar wood as so many of the smaller cigar boxes are, so this fully cedar wood box provides better stability and control of RH. Cedar wood can absorb and store moisture but because the box was made of kiln-dried cedar wood, very dry, this box works best by first breaking it in by having a shallow bowl of distilled water placed in it for a while, perhaps a few weeks or so, in order to bring the cedar wood to its full humidity capacity, and the "piano" paint finish on the outside of the box helps to retain the moisture in the cedar wood of the box. I brought this box to the attention of the flute makers, Copley & Boegli, and they now plan to place an order for one or two of these boxes.
5.0 out of 5 stars So Good, I Ordered 2 More!
This humidor is EXCELLENT for the money. I used Humi-Care packs to season it, and it maintains a relative humidity of 65-72%! The hygrometer is accurate. I'm also using a Xikar digital hygrometer inside, and both read the same. I'm not sure how well the included humidifier works because I'm using Boveda packets, which work amazingly well after properly seasoning the humidor. Don't pass this one up. The finish is beautiful, and as stated, it maintains proper humidity very well.
