I had one of these (not this brand/company) year ago, and hated it because the butane would leak out, and every time I'd go to use it it was empty. Read one comment about this one that said it leaked, so I wanted to wait a while before rating it. Well, it's been just about one month since I received it and gave it its first fill.Just now tried it before writing this, and it fires right up, gives me full flame on demand, so it is NOT leaking for me. Guess that guy got one like I had before, just a bad manufacturing job on his.It is SOLIDLY made, it's all metal, so if you drop it worry about it going through your floor more than if it'll break. Some may not like it because of its weight, but it's fine with me, it FEELS like a tool (insert Tim Allen grunt here), and it sits where I put it, I don't have to worry (too much) about it getting easily knocked over.I'm satisfied with it.

Was super easy to use for creme brulee. Definitely a strong torch -- and it was nice being able to adjust the strength of the flame. A little heft to it because of the material that was used to make it so I am not worried about durability. I feel like this will hopefully be the first and last torch I'll have to ever buy.

For a butane torch, this is about as good as it gets. There is a darker colored sondiko with a larger capacity but it has a more delicate knob, a plastic knob at the back.This one is a sturdier design with the knob on the side.A very nice torch.I still think Propane is superior for tank life but this is an A+ Butane torch.

Wasn't sure what to expect for 20 bucks but I'm thoroughly impressed! I have a couple torches that cost more than this one and are nowhere near the quality. This thing is a monster! Super solid and the biggest flame out of all my torches! Get this one!

I was initially very impressed with this torch lighter. The flame can get huge and very powerful. The material/build quality felt pretty good. It also looks nice. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. I used this lighter lightly, I only had to fill it up once in about 5 weeks of owning it. In less than 6 weeks it completely stopped working. Now it's useless unless I decide to use it as a paper weight. I followed the Bolo support page in order to contact the manufacturer, I explained to them how it broke shortly after the one month return window closed. I've given them plenty of time to respond before writing this review and sadly the manufacturer hasn't replied to me at all. I feel ripped off. I hardly even used this lighter, I treated it with care, and despite all that it broke in an extremely short period of time. But not short enough to be covered by the one month Bolo return window.. A product breaking in <6 weeks is ridiculous. Considering how many reviews this has, and the fact that it's not the cheapest torch lighter on the market, I expected much better. My last torch lighter didn't blow as large of a flame as this, it also was primarily made out of plastic and cost half what this does, but even that one last a little over a year before breaking.. still not good.. but certainly better than lasting under 6 weeks. I hope the manufacturer decides to make things right. If they do I'll update this review. But as things are now, I recommend choosing a different lighter.
