5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and bright
These were easy to install and can be dimmed if you want. I put them under my homemade bar, and they work great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put up; work exactly as described.
These were easy to put up, and work exactly as described. I love that they're not overwhelmingly bright, but bright enough. The warm light was a good choice. It's plugged into one of those annoying wall switches that controls half the outlets in my room. The LEDs come on immediately when the switch is thrown; no warm-up time needed. My one wish would be that it came with some extra cable for the dimmer, along with way to mount the dimmer switch more fashionably, rather than just having it dangle there in line with the power cord. Maybe you could include a little mounting box with some 3M wall tape, or something, so I could thread it under my desk and mount it to the underside of the desk. But that's more of a wish list item, than a real gripe. I could have bought a model that had a remote control, if I really wanted to dim it that frequently- which I don't. The light is great as-is; I'm giving it the Ron Popeil treatment - set it and forget it.I would absolutely buy this again for another indirect room-lighting project.
5.0 out of 5 stars So nice and bright!
I bought these strip light specifically for my desk area at work. The last string lights I had were not bright enough. These are PERFECT. A simple dimmer knob and VOILA! Desk lighting. There would be great athone for under the counter lighting in kitchen.
4.0 out of 5 stars Strips stuck to eachother and ripped but seller replaced full package
I need lights for a shelf where I display crystals and was very surprised that the lights were so bright. The dimmer works excellent and much needed because being on full bright is like staring at the sun. It really doesn't take much to light up a display shelf! The cons though is that the switches you get don't make much sense, when I was trying to run a strip and connect the next roll to my existing roll, there were too many innies and not enough outties. It would make more sense if the switches literally were like back to back innie and outtie..but no it was way more complicated to go shelf by shelf than I thought it should be. Also, if the strip got stuck to itself, it tore. I had to throw away 2 strips out of the 4 I tore it because it was like wet paper tearing in two. Now my shelf is only half done with light because half of the strip rolls are useless. 😭😭**The seller shipped me a whole new set to make up for the ripped strips so i increased my review stars**
5.0 out of 5 stars Good but maybe not the best qc -(Seller is very good)
They are fairly cheap. I'll probably buy some more. It should probably be a little more clear the 50ft version is two 25ish foot roles. Of the 8 roles I had one the was completely defective at the plug. I was able to solder my own wires on and bypass the bad plug. The same string also had some dead pixels. 7 out of 8 roles were ok. Solder joints are a little questionable but for the price I think they are probably alright. We'll have to see how long they hold up.24v Meanwell 15.4 Amp PS if anyone is wondering.Ran14 gauge low voltage copper conductor and wired a plug at each 25ft strip. 50ft draws about 1.4 Amps. With 200ft I'm around 6 amps.Update:Seller made things right as far as the bad string. (Unprompted from me)
1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work out of the box.
The media could not be loaded. Clearly, the item had the factory seal broken. Package box was sliced across the top and the factory tape was sliced through as well. The item missing from the box is the dimmer switch with a splitter for attaching to the two strings of strip lights.Lights would not work at all with the included power supply. I didn’t check the output voltage from the power supply until I had checked that both light strings would not work. That’s when I checked the power supply and saw that it was a 12 volt power supply and the LED light strings are supposed to be 24 volts. I then tried a 24 volt battery, but the lights still didn’t work. Not sure if the light strings are 24 volts, because there isn’t any labeling on the two strings. Regardless, they don’t work as supplied to me, so they’re worthless.I’m sending everything back to Bolo. Poor quality control all around Bolo. I will shop other sites for working LED light strips. Too bad I have to spend my time typing up this review, repackaging the items, getting the package to a return center, lost time for looking for the item elsewhere, and not getting to install the item in the first place. A ton of wasted time and effort on my part and Bolo’s. The package handler should not have shipped an opened box to the customer. Enough said. So frustrating.
5.0 out of 5 stars LED strip lights
Very useful as "Over-the-cabinet" kitchen night lights. The variable light control is great to get a good night light intensity
3.0 out of 5 stars Dimmable by a lutron dimmer. If flashed and had to put a standard switch in.
I'm an electrical contractor, I bought these led lights because they are dimmable. But for some reason they would not work with a lutron dimmer., they just flashed. Not happy, luck my customer was okay with a standard switch.
Dead pixels -edit Gave me a refund
Came with dead pixels. First strip is the one with no damage yet half the strip doesn’t work after the copper joint. Second strip has 3 dead pixels in the middle with a bad solder point.-edit (12/2022) Reached out to support and they offered me a replacement. Since they were out of stock at the time they gave me a refund instead. Unfortunate but good customer experience overall.-edit #2 (02/2023) After 3 months of use, the power adapter stopped working properly. The lights won't turn off, it is stuck on the lowest brightness even though the adjuster knob is clicked in the off position. Since I got a refund for the product already I don't really care, but it is pretty much unusable now without buying another adapter.
