Update: After my original review, I received an email from Blink Support and was actually helped by someone. He checked the logs of my camera/floodlights and noticed they were draining my batteries unusually fast. I received a replacement a week ago and my batteries are still at 100% 😁.I really wanted to like this floodlight camera, but it just keeps disappointing me. Let me start by saying, I originally got this camera and the doorbell, because a motorized scooter was stolen from my carport in the middle of the night. Installation was easy and the camera quality is great (only reason it got 2 stars), however, the batteries that came with the camera died within the first week for both the camera and floodlights. I changed the batteries for the floodlights (multiple times a multiple sets of batteries) and they haven’t worked in over a month. I change the batteries for the camera every couple of days. I left for a few days for a mini-vacation and my camera was dead the whole time. I changed the batteries the day I came back, which was Monday. I am typing this review on a Wednesday and I already have to change the batteries again. My camera sensitivity is set at 3, because you know if something happens, I want it to be caught on camera. I think the worst part is I tried to reach out to Blink support and granted them temporary access to my account, to be told my batteries were dead, to change them, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in. That was no help. I felt like the support person wasn’t even paying attention to what I was saying. I had to keep repeating myself and even sent pictures and a video with my original message. If you are considering this camera/floodlight set, maybe try the wired version vs wireless.

I really love the Blink 4th gen wireless outdoor floodlight camera - it's my favorite camera in our Blink camera system so far. When we first installed it in January, there was a glitch with the battery level warning. It kept telling us that we needed to replace the batteries, but that issue was fixed through an update, and now everything works as it should. I'm still thinking about getting the battery extension pack in the future, but for now, I'm satisfied with its performance and the ease of installation using that little bracket thing I sure was never going to be able to hold it up.The camera picks up all movement in the designated zones. At night, the camera comes on and lights up the entire driveway and more. It has deterred at least one person from doing something suspicious in the middle of the night. Surprisingly, it doesn't stop the neighborhood kids from playing late-night hide and seek in our driveway, even though it's pretty dumb to hide under a motion-detecting floodlight. However, that's their parents' problem.I'm planning to buy at least one more of these to add to our system. I love that these Blink cameras provide a certain level of security and allow me to be a bit of a nosey neighbor!
