I have over 20 years of experience with this hobby. I picked up this truck for my dog to enjoy chasing. It was inexpensive compared to my Arrma cars so I don't care if he beats it up a bit. The size is nice. Handles grass very well. The speed is nice for 2s. The radio is a basher radio, but it has trim and dual rate for steering. Don't run 3s. No. Don't do it. With a 35 amp stock ESC running a 1/12 scale truck? If you want to blow it up, do it. I have a receiver and 55 amp ESC on hand that I'll be installing on my next day off. I'll be curious to see how the drive train holds up to 3s abuse on grass. Will update after upgrades.Update: the truck lasted five batteries on the 3s setup before stripping the rear bevel gear. It's a 2s truck. Until I can find some better quality gears and possibly diffs to swap in there, it shall remain a 2s truck.All that said, it handled the speed and bashing of 3s just fine, including a full speed cartwheel for a good 100 feet down the street. It's a great starter truck. Takes abuse well. If HBX starts using quality metals in their gears, or slipper clutches, or both...they would be a game changer. This truck was into the 40mph range on 3s. It Kept up with my brushless Arrma Granite just fine until it ate it's rear bevel gear. No matter. My dog loves chasing it and he doesn't care if it's only running 2s 🙂

I bought this truck (my second Haiboxing vehicle) for my wife so she could run with my son and I. Was super impressed with the build quality and handling. It has all steel diffs and drive shafts and has survived many crashes and abuse without breaking a single part. I was also surprised with how quick it is for a brushed system and attribute that to it being so lightweight. It has a long run time, especially for how small the battery is, and it came with two batteries for double the driving time. I checked the Haiboxing website and every single part is available at very affordable prices if we do break something which is very important for less well known brands like this. The last thing you want is to break something simple and not be able to get a replacement rendering the whole thing useless. Not only were all the parts available for spares but quite a few upgrade parts were also listed so the car’s abilities can be increased as my wife’s experience grows. All in all, I’m very happy with the truck and the support for it. I’m thinking of buying another one for my daughter but since it only comes in one color I think we are going to get another Haiboxing model so they can tell them apart while running together. Based on my experience with the two Haiboxing cars we have, I’m confident whichever model she pickswill be a great hobby grade car at a fantastic price. A+.

This thing is very stable and fast. I have an absolute blast with it. Can take a beating, and parts are widely available if needed.
