5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Recent broken leg. This step is a lifesaver. Makes every step up and down EASY. ,safe and functional
3.0 out of 5 stars Not much help going on stairs. But better than nothing.
I use it for stair climbing. It doesn’t help using as a half step but does provide support going up stairs.
1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY....Cheap product, poorly made in China. The four legs are uneven so it wobbles. The carpet padding was not put on correctly so it overhangs the platform, which by the way is very, very small. Can't even get my foot on it safely because it is so small. The rubber feet were worn on the edges creating further instability.
4.0 out of 5 stars Helps reduce step height, but requires some strength to use
If your main problem climbing stairs is the height of each step, this cane could be your solution. The attached platform is essentially a half-step that you can lift up or lower onto the next step with one arm while holding onto the stair railing with the other. With time, effort and practice I developed a technique that worked best for me, but given my low level of strength I would not want to depend on it or have to use it daily, much less multiple times a day. And in my case I would not use it on a full flight of stairs without someone strong around to "spot" me.You have to take care to place it on each successive step carefully to ensure stability, and if the stair tread is too narrow or your foot is too long this may not work for you.I purchased this to use for visiting friends and family where I cannot avoid using some stairs, and it is perfect for that. Also, practicing with it is great exercise. It is a little on the heavy side for me, being metal, so I am also going to try a lighter plastic model to see if it is as sturdy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but worth every penny
I purchased this item for my grandfather. He is 89 years old and likes to take an afternoon drive and stop to visit his grandchildren but in recent months he has struggled to climb the 3-4 entry stairs to our houses. I ordered this cane to see if he could manage a half step and he is so excited about it. He has used it now several times and is not out of breath or exhausted like he was without it. It also helps him get in and out of my car since he’s on the shorter side. This product was worth every penny to see how happy he is to have some mobility back. My only qualm with the product was the packaging- Allen wrenches were loose in the bag and all of the screws needed were already screwed in to the item so I spent time looking through the plastic for them and ultimately assumed they had been left out of the packaging. It was the next day before I attempted to put my own screws in and realized something was in the screw holes. Overall the packaging and instructions felt sloppy. But the product is great and that would not deter me from buying again!
5.0 out of 5 stars Stair step
Very good right weight
2.0 out of 5 stars step could be an inch higher
Step is too low for me. Would be nice if the height was adjustable.
3.0 out of 5 stars Creo lo podre usar aunque no me produce sensacion de estabilidad
La base donde se pone es pie es pequeña es solo para un ligero apoyo o para personas que no tengan tanto problema de balanceDeberia brindar mas firmeza el baston en su base y el reposo del pie un poco mas amplio
