About this item:
Unique production process: The first pressing of the sugar cane juice is slowly heated and its water evaporated, causing it to crystallize. Crystals are spun in centrifuges which helps to remove the impurities, keeps the natural coating of sweet molasses and gives a special flavor, aroma and color to recipes, coffee and drinks. 100% Colombian sugar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best type of sugar
I don't use too much sugar in my diet but when I do, I like a robust flavor. And here it is. I love it in my oatmeal. I also use it to make my homemade kombucha and it lends a superb complexity of flavor compared to regular white table sugar. My scobies love it! It's large grained, meaning the crystals are big and crunchy. And the flavor is the first step on the way to molasses: delicious! The price of this has fluctuated pretty wildly due to market pressures, or whatever, but when the price is right, this sugar is worth every penny for its vibrant and interesting flavor. I prefer the 4lb bags over the 2lb bags, of course, because I love to buy in bulk.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet
I love this! My husband and I are trying to only eat non-processed, chemical-free foods. This sugar is great as a sweetener. I've found that the best way to use it for baking is by melting it into a syrup as it doesn't dissolve like the white sugar you buy at the grocery store. I love how rich it is compared to white sugar. It has a darker, slight caramel flavor to it. However, it hasn't changed the flavor of my baking. I use it for everything now.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for avoiding the ills of refined sugar.
Refining is what makes sugar questionable. This gives a fuller flavor and is better for you in my opinion.I probably would not use it for lemon meringue pie, but I like it very much for lemonade.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for making kimchi!!
I know they're really isn't much difference between one brand of turbinado sugar and the other. But I want to say, this is an exceptional value and it dissolves easily and it's a perfect taste of my kimchi.
5.0 out of 5 stars Taste really good
Good price for a less processed sugar.
4.0 out of 5 stars Coffee Sugar
Well priced. Taste fine. Best sugar for coffee.
5.0 out of 5 stars Better than white sugar
I don't remember when was the last time I had white sugar, since I switched to brown about 3 years ago.I wanted to cut down on white sugar, I tried a few different brands of brown sugar, and stuck with this one - best ever! Great for coffee, fruit, pastries - you name it. It has a nice, caramel taste, strong and distinct, but not too strong. Crystals are big and crunchy.I'm not going back to white sugar, that's for sure!

I really liked the flavor and texture it has .I will continue to use this.
