I owned and wore out my original Adidas terrex hikers, and needed an upgrade for a trip to Sedona. The latest Ax4 did NOT disappoint. It is an excellent light hiking shoe. Comfortable with only a day of breaking them in, wearing to the office for work. I put these to the test with five straight day hikes in the rugged trails surrounding Sedona AZ. Averaging 8 miles a day of some pretty rocky and strenuous hiking over rugged terrain and was completely impressed.Pros:- Fit true to size. I'm a nine in every shoe and the nines fit me perfectly. I would recommend ordering your size- Highly supportive fit without hot spots. Not too wide, but ample toe room. Good arch support. Short (one-day) break-in- Goretex - didn't test this in AZ, but suspect this would fend of puddles and wet spots- Grippy as hell. The collaboration with Continental continues and continues to pay off. We did a lot of off-camber hiking and step descents on slick rock, and I never had a problem- In a world of garish sneakers on one side, and horrid looking hikers on the other (keens, merrills) these actually look cool and normal.No cons to report. One thing to note - I did try the non-goretex version before settling on these. I would highly recommend upgrading to this goretex version. The fit was better (the non-goretex version was too wide) and the mesh appeared sturdier.

They seem pretty rugged. Not too heavy but warm and dry with good support. No issues walking in the snow. For a low top they are fairly good in the winter.

This is a very good fitting and comfortable walking shoe. True to size and give great foot support . My only wish is that the soles would last longer. I walk enough to wear through the sole in about 5 months. The uppers still look and feel new so a longer lasting sole would have upped the rating to five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have had 6 pairs of Terrex Goretex shoes over the last 12 years.
This version is still a good shoe, though I wish they would bring back the speed lacing system that they had for years on the Terrex series shoes (I actually swapped the speed lacing system from an old pair of Terrex to the new pair).I also noticed that the toe box is a little wider on the newest version than on previous models. I have found that Addidas Terrex offer more cushioning and breath better than a similar model from Salomon (which has the speed lacing system). I also always liked the traction of the Terrex shoes.

I liked the look of the Gore-tex version, and the shoe is clearly well made.However, sizing is bad for the 10.5 shoe I ordered.The shoe was tight in the toe box, and the back ball of my foot fell out when walking around, even with the shoes overly tightened. I would be worried that sizing down would make the toe box too small. Obviously, sizing up wouldn't make any sense.

Impressively, the Gore-Tex kept my feet dry and comfortableThe sneaker itself feels well-constructed and supportive. The fit is true to size, and the cushioning provides comfort. The outsole offers decent traction on various terrains. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance, It's a reliable.

This is my very first time ordering shoes online so I was worried about fit without being able to try them on. I can report that they are "true to size". I've always been size 12 and, sure enough, size 12 fits just how I like my shoes to fit.These are not just tennis shoes that look like hikers, they are thick and durable and remind me of my military boots. Very happy so far!

Muy cómodos
Se perciben de muy buena calidad, son Adidas Terrex originales. Llegaron en caja de Bolo, no de Adidas y llegaron justo el día que prometieron. Después de usarlos todo el día y haber caminado más de 5km, puedo decir que son bastante cómodos. Yo los compré para uso casi diario en la ciudad de México y estuve muy a gusto con ellos.Los recomiendo, creo que el precio es justo por lo que obtienes.
Lightweight and stylish
I admit I won't be putting these to the full potential... I bought them for casual wear and to wear while at school... I am on my feet a lot.. The are fantastic unbelievabley lightweight but still feel tough and durable...And dam do they look stylish and cool... Fantastic for all sports and commuting... Walking....For me they fit true to size....Top quality by AdidasThese could easily handle light trails while hiking..
Top Schuh aber leider auch bei mir zu eng
Vorab möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass der Schuh an sich wirklich gut ist. Super Profil und auf den ersten Blick auch sehr gut verarbeitet. Für mich ungewöhnlich ist jedoch die Maßhaltigkeit der Schuhgröße.Habe sonst bei Adidas immer 41 1/3 und damit auch noch nie das Gefühl gehabt, die Zehen einziehen zu müssen. Wurde mit diesem Schuh jedoch eines Besseren belehrt. Dachte erst, dass gibt sich noch, aber nach den vergangenen Wochen muss ich feststellen, dass wird wohl nichts mehr werden. Sind zu eng und bleiben zu eng. Also meine Empfehlung ist, auf jeden Fall den Schuh eine Nummer größer zu nehmen, um dieses Problem nicht zu haben.
