5.0 out of 5 stars Mancoda Hidden Deck Fasteners are far superior to Trex fasteners of the same design
I installed Fiberon Armorguard decking on a moderate sized deck. I started with the project with Trex hidden fasteners of the same design as the Mancoda. The Trex fasteners were difficult to use because the screw head would often strip just before the fasteners were fully seated. Sometimes the screws snapped. Also, because nearly all heads stripped, it was not possible to unscrew them. I finished the project with Mancoda fasteners. To my surprise, NONE of these problems occurred with the Mancoda fasteners. Non stripped heads, the fasteners seated firmly, no screws snapped and the fasteners can be unscrewed if needed. They are far superior to the Trex fasteners and I wish I had found this out earlier.

I purchased a box of 360 deck screws from Trex. About 50% of the screws the head stripped. The screws from this seller seemed to be harder metal. Only about 10% of the screw heads stripped. The price per screw including the plastic retainer were less expensive than Trex.

I replace the angled ones with these and couldn't quite maintain the same narrow spacing with these, so check if that might be a problem for you
